Aims and Scope
Colloids and Surfaces B: Biointerfaces is an international journal devoted to fundamental and applied research on colloid and interfacial phenomena in relation to systems of biological origin, having particular relevance to the medical, pharmaceutical, biotechnological, food and cosmetic fields.

Submissions that: (1) deal solely with biological phenomena and do not describe the physico-chemical or colloid-chemical background and/or mechanism of the phenomena, and (2) deal solely with colloid/interfacial phenomena and do not have appropriate biological content or relevance, are outside the scope of the journal and will not be considered for publication.

The journal publishes regular research papers, reviews, short communications and invited perspective articles, called BioInterface Perspectives. The BioInterface Perspective provide researchers the opportunity to review their own work, as well as provide insight into the work of others that inspired and influenced the author. Regular articles should have a maximum total length of 6,000 words. In addition, a (combined) maximum of 8 normal-sized figures and/or tables is allowed (so for instance 3 tables and 5 figures). For multiple-panel figures each set of two panels equates to one figure. Short communications should not exceed half of the above. It is required to give on the article cover page a short statistical summary of the article listing the total number of words and tables/figures.

1.26 Submission
1.27 Technical problem returned (format incorrect)
1.28 Resubmitted again
2.2 Under review
3.3 Major revision in the first round of review, two reviewers, one provided 27 comments, many of which were very detailed issues, the other provided 11 questions, luckily all of them were not difficult to answer
4.7 Major revision returned, wrote a 20+ page response, feeling helpless
4.9 Second round of review, started a nearly two-month long process, one reviewer agreed on 4.10, while the other didn't agree until 4.20, feeling anxious, afraid of missing the degree award in June, contacted customer service several times to inquire about the status of the manuscript, all they said was that one reviewer's comments hadn't been received yet
5.27 Minor revision, received 5 minor issues from the reviewer who provided 27 comments on the day of the defense, all of them were easy to fix, just changes in wording, the second reviewer was already satisfied, made the changes at the venue after the defense, and resubmitted it in the evening
5.28 Received at noon, luckily made it in time for the degree award on 6.5
This journal has a pretty high efficiency, it's just that the second round of review by the reviewers delayed too much time.

Experienced one format modification, two rounds of under review, from submission to acceptance in a total of two months. Thank you to Professor Zhou, the editor from China, for efficiently handling the manuscript. The speed was quite fast! It was a very good submission experience. The editors were genuinely responsible and had strict requirements for manuscript format and image quality. Currently, it is a top journal in the second district of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, with an impact factor of 5.999. I wish the journal continued success!
