Aims and Scope
Psychological Research/Psychologische Forschung publishes articles that contribute to a basic understanding of human perception, attention, memory, and action. The Journal is devoted to the dissemination of knowledge based on firm experimental ground, but not to particular approaches or schools of thought. Theoretical and historical papers are welcome to the extent that they serve this general purpose; papers of an applied nature are acceptable if they contribute to basic understanding or serve to bridge the often felt gap between basic and applied research in the field covered by the Journal.

After two rounds of major revisions and two rounds of minor revisions, the paper was accepted, taking a total of 8 months. Each time, it took about a month to receive feedback. The first round only took 3 weeks, which was quite fast.

An interesting thing happened: the paper had previously been submitted to another journal but was rejected and put on hold without any modifications. Over a year later, we forgot about the rejection comments and submitted the paper as is to this PRPF journal, only to encounter the same reviewer from the previous rejected journal. The reviewer was quite angry, but still patiently provided comments again, and the editor allowed us to revise. We are truly grateful to them.
