About two months after submission, the first review comments were given. After revising, the second review comments were given in less than three months. It took about one month to revise and accept the second review. However, the publication process afterwards was arduous, involving three months of back and forth for modifying formats and providing original proofs, image copyrights, and other issues. The time from paying the publication fee to the publication of the article took approximately two months.

I used to submit to Nar, but it was rejected. Afterward, I switched to CB. In the first round of review, the comments advised that experimental support was needed for the computational work. After adding a large amount of comparative evidence based on experiments to the revised manuscript, it was successfully accepted. The reviewers were very professional, and I hope the journal can continue to improve and steadily enter the first quartile of biology.
