Aims and Scope
Journal of Marine Science and Engineering (JMSE; ISSN 2077-1312) is an international, peer-reviewed open access journal which provides an advanced forum for studies related to marine science and engineering. It publishes reviews, research papers and communications. Our aim is to encourage scientists to publish their experimental and theoretical results in as much detail as possible. There is no restriction on the length of the papers. The full experimental details must be provided so that the results can be reproduced. Electronic files and software regarding the full details of the calculation or experimental procedure, if unable to be published in a normal way, can be deposited as supplementary electronic material.

Only the last submission went smoothly...
However, this journal rejects and encourages resubmission (this article went through two rounds, I am not very skilled).
The reviewers of the article are very responsible. Usually, each reviewer provides comments of over a thousand words for major revisions. They are very dedicated and the quality of the article has improved significantly. The process of writing the response letter, however, was very painful.
Also, it is possible that the article was submitted under the category of Physical Oceanography, which has a lower publication rate and may be more difficult to publish in. Additionally, I encountered an Associate Editor with strong opinions (the major revision was rejected).
In the end, the final decision was made by the Editor-in-Chief.
Everyone says that MDPI journals are relatively easy to publish in, but I still found it very challenging.
However, I believe that all three reviewers and the Associate Editor were very dedicated, as each set of comments was over a thousand words long.

This journal has a very efficient handling process for manuscripts. It took me about a month to receive the revision comments, which is considered slow. In the first round, there were two reviewers, one suggesting minor revisions and the other suggesting major revisions. The reviewer for major revisions was very responsible and provided detailed and accurate suggestions. They only gave me 7 days to make the revisions. After submitting the revised manuscript, the academic editor requested minor revisions and gave me two days to complete them. After submitting the revised version again, it was quickly accepted. The language editor made some improvements in English and provided the proof the next day. After confirming the proof, it was online the next day.
