Aims and Scope

Coatings is an international, peer-reviewed open access journal of coatings and surface engineering. It publishes reviews, research articles, communications and technical notes. Our aim is to encourage scientists to publish their experimental and theoretical results in as much detail as possible. There is no restriction on the length of the papers. Full experimental and/or methodical details must be provided. There are, in addition, unique features of this journal:

* manuscripts regarding research proposals and research ideas will be particularly welcomed
* electronic files or software regarding the full details of the calculation and experimental procedure - if unable to be published in a normal way - can be deposited as supplementary material

I have to say, this journal is really efficient. It took 22 days from submission to acceptance, and although I had to go through major revisions, the questions raised by the reviewers were very professional and strict. However, as long as I answered them seriously, there were no major issues. Contrary to what people say online, they didn't reject submissions indiscriminately. Approaching my research path with a serious and responsible attitude will eventually bring rewards.

High efficiency, but the APC (fee) is also high. The review comments are given 20 days after submission, with four reviewers: two major revisions and two minor revisions. The revised manuscript is required to be returned within 10 days, and it has already been returned. I have previously submitted a similar article, and there were many detailed review comments. There is a template available for submission, and the required items to be submitted are relatively few.
