[About Prof. Hon Fai Chans Research Group] Prof. Hon Fai Chan Received His Phd Degree From Duke University In 2015. From 2016 To 2017, He Conducted Postdoctoral Research At Columbia University And Mit Respectively. Starting From 2018, Prof. Chan Has Served As An Assistant Professor Jointly In The Institute Of Tissue Engineering And Regenerative Medicine And School Of Biomedical Science At The Chinese University Of Hong Kong (Cuhk). Prof. Hon Fai Chan ( Https://Www2.Sbs.Cuhk.Edu.Hk/En-Gb/People/Academic-Staff/Prof-Chan-Hon-Fai-Vivas )’S Research Group At Cuhk Has Been Focused On Developing Novel Multiscale Biomaterials/Process For Cell/Tissue Engineering And Regenerative Medicine. At The Nanoscale, We Develop Nanoscale Interface To Understand How Cell Process (E.G. Stem Cell Differentiation) Is Regulated By Nanotopography. At The Microscale, We Fabricate Small Microcapsules Using Microfluidic System To Encapsulate Cells And Ecm For Tissue Engineering, In Particular For Liver Regeneration. We Have Also Been Working On Developing New Strategies (E.G. 3D Printing) And Biomaterial (E.G. Tough And Highly Stretchable Hydrogel) For Engineering Tissue/Organ Of The Gi Tract. There Are Ph.D. Positions Available Starting In Sept 2020At Prof. Chan’S Research Group Jointly In The Institute For Tissue Engineering And Regenerative Medicine And School Of Biomedical Science At Cuhk. Students With Majors In Biomedical Science, Biomedical Engineering, Biomaterials And Biotechnology Are Highly Welcome To Apply. [About The Ph.D. Positions]: The Successful Applicants Will Have The Opportunity To Conduct Cutting-Edge Research In The Areas Of Tissue Engineering, Micro/Nano-Fabrication And Regenerative Medicine. The Selected Applicants Will Also Have The Opportunity To Collaborate With Researchers From Other World-Class Universities. Postgraduate Studentships Are Available For Full-Time Students. Students Awarded Studentships Will Receive Stipends In Return For Assisting In The Teaching And Research Work Of The Graduate Division.
