Description
The digital healthcare ecosystem is rapidly evolving and there is a need to build the evidence base on how digital innovations can be effectively, efficiently, and safely deployed at the point of care, which may be the clinic or the home. The overarching goal is to improve care and health outcomes while controlling cost and not creating additional clinician burden. The goal will be achieved by seeking research on the use of innovative digital healthcare solutions (e.g., artificial intelligence, wearable/invisible technology, internet of things devices (IoT), FHIR/SMART) to develop new or improve existing resources at the point of care. New evidence in this area has the potential to transform healthcare through a shift in how clinicians provide services, and by how patients and family care-givers interact with the care team during treatment.
