Grant Size
Upper £225,000GBP Grants for 2-3 year projects will be awarded. The charity will cover any combination of salary and consumables up to a maximum of £75,000 per year.For grants for up to one year proof of principle projects, the charity will cover up to £30,000 for salary and consumables.

Eligibility
The charity is only able to fund Principal Applicants who are based in the UK.Principle applicants must hold a contract which extends beyond the duration of the proposed grant period at an Institution approved by Muscular Dystrophy UK. Current holders of a Muscular Dystrophy UK-funded project or studentship grant may still apply in this round.Each applicant can submit up to one application per grant type in a grant round.
Description
Funding is available for project grants (including shorter, proof of concept projects such as pilot studies of up to one year) that have relevance to one or more type of muscular dystrophy or a related neuromuscular condition. The sponsor is looking to support research across the breadth of conditions supported by the charity, including rare and ultra-rare conditions.The charity welcomes applications for research that will have a direct, positive impact on people's quality of life or helps to establish best practice in symptom management. This includes, but is not limited to, social or psychological research or projects with a focus on exercise, physiotherapy, fatigue or chronic pain.
