Summary: Four new species, R. begonia, R. photinia, R. rhodochroa, and R. rufa, from northern and southwestern China under coniferous and deciduous trees are proposed. The illustrations and descriptions of R. gracillima, R. leucomarginata, R. roseola, and the above four new species are provided based on morphological characters and phylogenetic analyses. The relationships between these new species and related taxa are discussed.

Summary: In this study, the taxonomic system of Sanguinoderma was revised based on morphological and multi-gene phylogenetic analyses, leading to the description of a new species, Sanguinoderma leucomarginatum, and the transfer of Amauroderma preussii to Sanguinoderma. The study also highlighted the importance of combining morphological characters and phylogenetic evidence in taxonomy research. Additionally, a key to accepted species of Sanguinoderma was provided.

Summary: In this study, the taxonomy and phylogeny of colonial Dinobryon species were investigated using molecular and morphological methods. The results revealed 15 different genetic lineages based on the nuclear ITS sequences. Phylogenetic analysis of the combined multigene dataset identified 18 subclades, including five new species. Morphological studies focused on lorica dimension and shape, as well as stomatocyst morphology. Based on these findings, five new species were proposed.

Summary: Two new Russula species, R. subbrevipes and R. callainomarginis, from China are described based on morphological and molecular characteristics. They are characterized by specific features and represent new lineages in Russula subg. Brevipes, as shown by phylogenetic analysis using multi-gene sequences. The description and illustration of these two new species are provided in the study.

Summary: A newly discovered species of Fusarium, named Fusarium bilaiae, has been identified as a Fusarium species associated with sunflower. It formed a distinct lineage within the African clade of the F. fujikuroi species complex. This species shows similarities in morphology, physiology, and mycotoxin production with closely related species, but with slight differences in agar media growth and microconidia shape. Fusarium bilaiae strains isolated from sunflower were found to be non-pathogenic and likely live as saprophytes or endophytes in sunflower tissues.

Summary: Russula albonigra is considered a well-known species, but molecular and morphological studies have shown that the traditional concept of this species is inaccurate, leading to a new concept for the species complex and the description of several new European species in the subgenus. Research indicates that publicly available sequence data can aid in species delimitation.

Summary: Through investigations in national reserves and Vietnam parks, it was discovered that the Cordyceps militaris complex, including two hidden species, attacks lepidopteran pupae or larvae. Phylogenetic analysis and morphological comparisons confirmed the descriptions of two new taxa and one known species in the complex. Furthermore, the morphological characteristics of 11 species within the C. militaris complex were compared.

Summary: This study explores cryptic speciation in blind mole rats, providing molecular genetic records and proposing conservation strategies based on the analysis of chromosomal forms and mitochondrial gene sequences. The findings highlight the need for taxonomic revision and detailed monitoring of cryptic species for conservation purposes.

Summary: The phylogeography of the common cheilostome bryozoan Cauloramphus magnus was examined by analyzing mitochondrial COI gene sequences from samples collected in northern Japan. Three main clades (A, B, C) were identified, with Clades A and B showing differences in frequency, haplotype diversity, and distribution. Clade A had no shared haplotypes between the Pacific and Sea of Japan sides, while Clade B was more common and had haplotype B28 found on both sides. Clade C was only detected in one locality. The K2P divergences among the three clades suggest they are distinct biological species, supported by different inferred evolutionary histories.

Summary: The genus Bois Hubner comprises 254 species, with 217 described from the Neotropics and 31 having their type locality in Brazil. The actual diversity of Eois is greatly underestimated and the Brazilian fauna is poorly known due to inadequate sampling and the potential existence of cryptic species.

Summary: Cryptic species, undetectable by morphological traits, may be more abundant than previously thought, as shown in the case of Dicranopteris ferns. Molecular phylogenetic analysis revealed ten distinct clades within the genus, suggesting hidden diversity within the species. The study's integration of molecular and morphological approaches sheds light on the cryptic diversity in taxonomically challenging groups like Dicranopteris.
