Summary: Multi-wall carbon nanotube (MWCNT) coatings are gaining increasing interest due to their special properties. In this study, a bi-layer coating of MWCNT and titania (anatase structure) was synthesized using the electrophoretic deposition method. The MWCNT/TiO2 coating showed higher roughness, adhesion strength, and corrosion resistance compared to the MWCNT basic coating. Biological tests revealed that the physicochemical properties of the MWCNT/TiO2-coated surface supported cell adhesion but could result in decreased proliferation due to the release of toxic species.

Summary: The study used DFT calculations to investigate the interaction between B12N12 and Al12N12 nano-cages with ALP, revealing that the complex formed between B12N12 and ALP is more stable and its stability increases in water. Effective charge transfer was observed from ALP's nitrogen atoms to the boron atoms of the nano-cages, with interactions between Al12N12 and ALP driven mainly by non-covalent forces, while ALP/B12N12 interactions were primarily electrostatic and partially covalent.
