Summary: This study aimed to identify chest CT characteristics of COVID-19, investigate the association with laboratory or demographic findings, and compare the accuracy with RT-PCR. The results showed that chest CT has high sensitivity and low specificity in the diagnosis of COVID-19, and the clinical, laboratory, and CT findings were similar between laboratory-confirmed and clinically diagnosed COVID-19 patients.

Summary: Moderate-to-substantial intra-observer agreement was found among pathologists in the evaluation of non-benign thyroid biopsies using the Bethesda reporting system. However, the inter-observer agreement fell below the lowest acceptable limit when the cytopathologist was considered as a reference.

Summary: This study examines the diagnostic efficacy of machine-learning algorithms in differentiating benign and malignant breast lesions using ultrasound images. The results show that incorporating selected robust radiomics features into well-curated machine-learning algorithms can generate high sensitivity, specificity, and accuracy. This optimal performance is preserved even in external validation datasets.

Summary: This study aimed to assess the diagnostic utility of brain MRI findings in patients with IIH and the importance of evaluating radiological findings together with neurological and ophthalmological data for the diagnosis of IIH. The results showed that optic nerve tortuosity, lateral ventricular index, and caudate index can be used as significant predictors for the disease group in the diagnosis of IIH.

Ciaccio, U. Rajendra Acharya, Ali Abbasian Ardakani

Summary: The purpose of this study was to develop and validate a machine learning model for the classification of breast lesions on ultrasound images. The model achieved higher accuracy in classifying breast lesions compared to expert radiologists based on the BI-RADS lexicon. This suggests that the inclusion of morphometric features can enhance the classification schemes.
