Summary: Tangeretin, a natural flavonoid with anti-inflammatory properties, has been found to inhibit inflammation and extracellular matrix (ECM) degradation, effectively preventing the progression of osteoarthritis (OA). These effects are mediated through the Nrf2/NF-kappa B and MAPK/NF-kappa B pathways.

Summary: This review summarizes the interactions between the primary transcription factor NF-kappa B and endoplasmic reticulum stress (ER stress) in the progression of atherosclerosis (AS). NF-kappa B and ER stress play critical roles in the pathogenesis of AS and have overlapping molecular regulation and function.

Summary: Intracerebral hemorrhage (ICH) induces inflammatory response that affects brain repair and organism recovery. Research suggests that Buyang Huanwu Decoction (BYHWD) can attenuate the inflammatory response during ICH recovery in rats by inhibiting the NIK-mediated noncanonical NF-kappa B signaling pathway, improving neurological function in rats.

Summary: This study reveals that the aberrant expression of cathepsin V (CTSV) is associated with a poor outcome in bladder cancer patients. CTSV enhances the inflammatory reaction, thereby promoting the development of bladder cancer. Overexpression of CTSV increases the proliferation and viability of bladder cancer cells, while deletion of CTSV significantly inhibits their proliferation and viability. Furthermore, overexpression of CTSV activates the inflammatory signaling pathway, which can be restored by introducing an NF-kappa B inhibitor.

Summary: Nrf2 and NF-kappa B are important regulators of oxidative stress and inflammation in the body, and there is crosstalk between them. Drug-induced organ toxicity has become a focus of research in clinical practice, and it is urgent to find protective drugs to alleviate this injury. Evidence suggests that modulating both Nrf2 and NF-kappa B pathways can alleviate drug-induced organ toxicity. Therefore, exploring the crosstalk mechanism between Nrf2 and NF-kappa B is of great importance.

Summary: The lncRNA Arid2-IR plays a critical role in kidney diseases by regulating NF-kappa B signaling via a NLRC5-dependent mechanism, which can be inhibited by Filamin A in the cytoplasm. Targeting Arid2-IR may be a novel therapeutic strategy for inflammatory diseases.

Summary: In this study, the role of FAM76B in regulating neuroinflammation was demonstrated for the first time. It was shown that FAM76B could regulate the NF-kappa B-mediated inflammatory pathway by affecting hnRNPA2B1 translocation. This provides new insights into the mechanism of inflammation regulation.

Summary: The study highlights the protective effect of Nuciferine (Nuf) against osteoarthritis (OA) by reducing extracellular matrix degradation and inhibiting the production of inflammatory cytokines. Nuf attenuates OA progression by targeting the PI3K/Akt/NF-kappa B signaling pathway.

Summary: This article reviews the potential molecular mechanisms by which astaxanthin (AST) regulates the transcription factors Nrf2 and NF-κB, which are involved in oxidative stress and inflammation. Additionally, it summarizes the current clinical studies elucidating how AST alleviates the etiopathogenesis of oxidative stress and inflammation.

Summary: The bioactive lipid S1P activates G-protein-coupled S1P receptors in RCC, with high expression of S1PR3 correlating to poor prognosis. S1P promotes proliferation and migration of renal cancer cells via the S1PR3 receptor, highlighting it as a potential therapeutic target for S1PR3-expressed cancers.

Summary: Class IIa histone deacetylases (HDAC) play a role in inflammation by promoting IKK activation and subsequent NF-kappa B activation. In this study, HDAC7 was found to be elevated in astrocytes after LPS challenge, leading to NF-kappa B activation, pro-inflammatory gene upregulation, and anxiety-like behaviors. Inhibition of HDAC7 attenuated LPS-induced inflammation and anxiety-like behaviors.
