OSNeHM’s main theme will be the role of Online Social Networks in such a human-centric cyber-physical convergence leading to the Metaverse. It will provide a forum for discussion on early yet principled approaches and results on all aspects related to this theme. A special emphasis will be devoted to the characterisation of the individual and social behaviour of humans, using OSN as “big data microscopes” for collecting and analysing big data via robust big data analytics.

The use of social technologies has become a sweeping cultural, social and economic phenomenon. Social platforms can exploit our society's "cognitive surplus" to create content and support collaboration.

Postdoc positions at the University of Warsaw in broadly understood computer science, mathematics and economics.
The successful candidate will establish collaboration with a selected research group at the University of Warsaw. In Computer Science, The Faculty of Mathematics, Informatics and Mechanics (www.mimuw.edu.pl) has large research teams in algorithms, logic and automata, and computational biology. There is also a growing number of successful smaller groups in diverse areas including cryptography, distributed systems, game theory, and machine learning.
Duration: 12 months, extendable to 24 months, subject to a successful evaluation
Salary: 10000 PLN (~2100 EUR) gross / month

SUMMER SCHOOLS OF SLAVONIC STUDIES 2023
Information on scholarships to attend the Summer Schools of Slavonic Studies, which offer intensive courses of Czech language and culture.
Summer Schools of Slavonic Studies (SSSS) are study courses organized by several public universities in the Czech Republic. Courses are held annually during the summer months (July, August, September). Their duration ranges from 3 to 4 weeks.
In 2023 applicants from 18 years of age from the following countries and territories can apply for an SSSS scholarship.
The scholarship includes:
