Please directly contact the assistant editor if there is any issue, and it will eventually be included in WOS (Web of Science). Keep an eye on those papers that were published at the same time as yours but have not been included in WOS. If all the papers from that period have been included except yours (which is rare), you can contact the assistant editor and have them report the situation to WOS, and the problem will be resolved.

I submitted an article, which was completely different from what everyone was saying. It was very mediocre and could have been published by anyone. I had four reviewers, three minor revisions, totaling 14 questions. There was one major revision with 12 questions, and it was evident that the reviewer was an expert in the field. My work was interdisciplinary, and this reviewer was well aware of the progress and technological trends in both areas, asking sharp questions.

The editor gave me ten days, and I applied for a one-week extension. In the end, I submitted an 18-page revised response.

Overall, I feel that the journal has high standards (probably due to my personal submission experience, as some may have received fewer review comments), but the process is fast, which is suitable for those in a hurry.

After another round of minor revisions, it was finally accepted for publication.

The editor is very incompetent. After the reviewer completed the review, it took them 3-5 days to provide a result. Submitted on 11/23, major revisions on 12/05, revised on 12/07, pending editor decision on 12/09, minor revisions on 12/14, returned on 12/14, pending editor decision on 12/15, and four more days have passed. I originally submitted it in order to get a quick response, but I didn't expect the efficiency to be so low!

My personal feeling is that the quality of this publication has been getting higher and higher. This year, I published a paper in it and received nearly 40 comments from three reviewers, who were very professional. After that, I had to make a second revision because one of the reviewers was not satisfied with my modifications. Finally, it went through another review by two academic editors before being published. However, this process was efficient, taking just over a month in total. The time given for major revisions was only 7 days. Overall, OA journals are mainly for saving time, and the reviewers for this materials journal are very diligent and responsible. This is just my personal feeling, so please refrain from criticizing and take it as a reference only.
