Hello, may I ask if the status remains as "Peer review" after the assignment is edited? I've been in the peer review process for a week now and there has been no progress. I'm not sure if this status means that a reviewer has been found and they are currently reviewing, or if a reviewer has not been found yet.

Received the initial evaluation results within 15 days after submitting the manuscript (two reviewers, major revision; one reviewer almost rejected it, the other suggested minor revisions). Thanks to the editor for giving the opportunity for major revision. Returned the revised manuscript in 8 days (added a lot of content based on the suggestions of reviewer 1). Resubmitted for a second review in 2 days and it was accepted! The processing speed was very fast, around 20 days in total.

The lesson here is that no matter how basic the issues raised by the reviewers are, it is important to address them in both the response letter and the revised manuscript. Do not assume that explaining in the response letter alone is sufficient. The reviewers' comments should be incorporated into the paper during the revision process. Re-submitting after making the necessary changes will be much smoother.

OE (possibly referring to the journal or publication platform) allows only one revision, which makes the review process seem unusually fast, usually within two months. This includes the time for resubmission after the first round of revisions did not pass. Taking my own experience as an example, from December 12th to April 13th, it took a total of 4 months for acceptance. I believe this is a normal speed for OE.

How can I appeal against OE? There were three reviewers in total, two of them suggested minor revisions, but one of them rejected it outright. This person only focused on the theoretical model and completely ignored the innovation of my experiments. Furthermore, the combination of compliant tool polishing and SPDT has already been widely accepted and used in practical production. The only difference is the use of non-Newtonian fluid in compliant tool polishing (published in another journal), so I fail to see the novelty and impact of this research.

I submitted it on the 18th. There was a major revision that was given 10 days. I completed it in 6 days and submitted it. After 2 days, I received minor revision comments, requesting submission within 7 days. I completed the revisions in about 3 days and submitted it. On the 9th, it showed that it was accepted. Overall, it was relatively fast. There were a total of 3 reviewers, 2 agreed to accept after revisions, and one suggested transferring. After the revisions, all 3 reviewers agreed. The overall time was less than a month, the fastest journal I have ever submitted to. Some comments mentioned that it was slow. This probably depends on whether the reviewers agree to review your paper and their reviewing speed. I believe the efficiency of the editor's handling was still very high!
