I want to ask the friend downstairs, does this journal have a distinction between major and minor revisions? The editor only gave me "revise," and I'm not sure if it belongs to major or minor revisions.

Le0130 2023-07-10

Same as the previous comment, RRC has been inactive for two months, but after sending a reminder letter, they responded within two days and provided revision suggestions. It is said that there have been some internal issues within the editorial department, resulting in poor management.

For over three months, I have been urging the customer service for my manuscript three times with no results. I have also emailed the editor-in-chief. Is there any other way to know the outcome sooner? If it's going to be rejected, I prefer it to be rejected sooner. This is so frustrating.

Eternity111 2023-07-09

May I ask if I can directly ask the customer service for the editor's email? Last time the customer service said they don't have the authority to provide the contact information for the editor.

与冰箱的不解之缘 2023-07-09

It is rare to have an article accepted in Zone 1. I submitted it at the end of August last year. The article was rejected twice by other slightly inferior journals. Since I didn't have high expectations, I hardly made any changes to the original text. In mid-January this year, I received a revision request. The comments from the two reviewers were fair and didn't directly address the novelty of the article or the formal analysis issues. It made me feel hopeful, so I spent more than two months revising it thoroughly. The second round of review took one month, and Reviewer 1 directly accepted it and praised me extensively. Reviewer 2 only mentioned some minor writing issues that were not critical. Then the editor conditionally accepted it, and after the revisions were completed, it was accepted directly upon resubmission.

I feel that luck played a significant role in this, and furthermore, the number of articles included in this journal is increasing rapidly every year. Will this affect the impact factor?

After finding the customer service on the Elsevier official website, I finally made progress by sending an email to the editor-in-chief. I should have contacted the editor directly earlier.

May I ask how long after the author's final submission was it received?

Acstream 2023-07-05

It has been nearly 2 months since I sent the RRC (Request for Review Comment), but I have not received any response after sending two reminder letters.

chasing 2023-07-05

Of course, it is possible. Once we reach the minimum number of review opinions required for evaluation, which should be 2 for KBS, we can make a decision.

wusye 2023-07-05

I want to ask how long has everyone been in RRC? I have been in this state for two months already, and I have sent three reminders in between, but I haven't received any reply or progress. Is the editor slacking off? Sigh.

gogofly 2023-07-04

9 review invitations were sent out, and 6 reviewers accepted the invitation. 5 reviews have been completed. It has been almost two weeks since the RRC, hoping for a fix.

In addition, can the editor reply without waiting for the last reviewer's opinion?

gogofly 2023-07-04

2023/4/29 with editor - This refers to a specific date (April 29, 2023) when a document or work is being reviewed or worked on by an editor.

2023/5/3 under review - This indicates that something is currently being evaluated or examined, with no specific completion date mentioned.

2023/6/21 required reviews complete - On June 21, 2023, all the necessary reviews or evaluations have been finished or fulfilled.

Tabe 2023-06-30

6/28 submitted to journal means that something was sent or forwarded to a journal on June 28th.
6/29 with editor indicates that on June 29th, the item or work was being reviewed or processed by an editor.

What is the reason for the rejection?

Shecy 2023-06-27

This journal has good quality. The difficulty is quite high. I have submitted before and got rejected. The speed is exceptionally slow. The external review took 5 months, I remember RRC took 3 months. After revision, the second external review came back with RRC after 2 and a half months, and the paper was rejected. The article was submitted in computer vision. The direction is not biased either. It is still very slow. Be cautious in submitting.

May I ask how long the first trial took?

Eagles 2023-06-22

Dude, you're too fast! I submitted my article on April 8th and it shows that there are two reviewers. One of the reviewers completed the review on May 8th, but the second one still hasn't finished... I sent an email to inquire but haven't received a reply. I'm really worried, do you have any good ways to urge them for the review?

velpro 2023-06-21

I would like to ask, is it necessary to use language editing services for "conditionally accept, revise" or can it be done without them?

Acstream 2023-06-21

There is another possibility that the latest IF will be released soon, so the editorial department may be controlling the amount of articles to be published, and it will be fine by July.

rooqq 2023-06-20

The journal is very good, the chief editor is very nice, the reviewers are very professional and responsible, they won't drag it along.

Have you ever encountered a situation where the track time does not match the time in the submission system? The "under review" time in the track has not been updated, but the submission system has been updated for several days.

Tingrid 2023-06-19

It has been 42 days, I don't know whether I should remind or not, I'm afraid of rejection, sigh, it's too slow.

katrina_666 2023-06-17

It's the same, urging for the manuscript but with no results.

Acstream 2023-06-17

Posted on November 1, 2022, and the first round of review comments was received in February 2023. The comments from the two reviewers were alright. After revising the manuscript on March 10, it took until May 10 for the revised version to be sent back to the journal (rrc). It has been over a month now, and it is still in the rrc stage. I don't know what happened. I also sent two reminder emails, but there has been no response. I wonder if the slow response is due to the handling editor being Italian. ?

How do you know if it's EIC or AE?

JiangSir_116 2023-06-16

I eic for over a month, on the 10th it changed to ae, and it has been a week now and still ae.

You don't have to use language services. If you have a native English teacher who can proofread, you can ignore this.
