One year since I submitted, there has been no feedback. I would like to send an email to the editor-in-chief. Is this the editor's email address: jie.lu@uts.edu.au?

蘅芜舍人 2021-08-19

Perhaps luck was on our side, as the entire process went relatively smoothly despite a few minor hiccups. We would like to express our gratitude to the reviewers, editor, and journal manager. Wishing the KBS journal continued success and improvement!

2021-4-7 submitted
2021-4-9 under review
2021-5-7 required reviews complete
2021-6-26 revision (required reviews complete for nearly 50 days, the editor may have been busy, consulted and immediately received a result, giving a thumbs up to Professor Jie Lu)
2021-8-1 R1 submitted
2021-8-3 under review
2021-8-9 required reviews complete (thumbs up to the reviewers)
2021-8-10 conditionally accepted (mainly due to the language reviewer requesting language editing, consulted the editor and received a response that the manuscript was not edited for language, made the necessary edits myself)
2021-8-12 R2 submitted
2021-8-14 with editor (editor-in-chief Jie Lu took over)
2021-8-18 with editor
2021-8-19 accepted (from the editor's email, it can be seen that R2 was returned to the original reviewer for further evaluation)

2021-07-25: revised (conditionally accepted)
2020-08-12: with editor (no under review status, it was thought to be delayed with the editor, but it was actually given to the original reviewer to look at, no status update)
2020-08-12: accepted

The first review took over three months, the second review took over twenty days. Overall, it feels like the editor handles manuscripts quite quickly, but it's difficult to find reviewers, although the reviewers who are available work quite quickly.

I couldn't find the file mentioned in the email from the editor in the EM system. I was worried about it. But when I saw the information provided by Lisa, everything suddenly became clear. Thank you!

KQ 2021-08-09

It's really too slow. Since November last year when I submitted, I have had one paper under review in another journal, while my junior has had two papers accepted in other journals. When I came back to check, this paper is still in the first round of review. If you are eager to graduate, receive a scholarship, or earn a professional title, be cautious about submitting to this journal.

EleaM Josen Haplacg 2021-08-07

Your speed here is very fast, it is already in the second review. It is about to be accepted.

lisa 2021-08-05

Update: The editor has replied. Ignore that attachment, just make the normal modifications.
PS: It seems that it is really necessary to use the corresponding author's email to send the email. (The supervisor replied directly in the email of the second review comments). If the editors haven't received a reply, the students can refer to this.
Wishing for an acceptance~

erhgu8 2021-08-05

This journal will not reply to any emails, you can only wait. Your situation should be due to the inability to find reviewers.

Dream123456 2021-08-05

It has been nearly a year since submission, but there is still no feedback from the first review. I also haven't received a reply to my email. Is there anyone who can give me some advice on what to do?

erhgu8 2021-08-04

Yes, I also didn't see that so-called attachment. I just made a few minor suggestions in the original Word version and submitted it directly. I was hired the next day.

lisa 2021-08-04

Boss, I left my contact information. If you have a chance, come and see me. I would like to ask you something~

lisa 2021-08-04

Can I just submit it directly? Without using that file? I wanted to ask, did you submit the PDF version or the Word version? My second review opinion is conditional, mainly asking for English grammar changes. They said that file was modified by a language expert.

Overall, KBS efficiency is considered normal, and the journal is also highly recognized. I hope that future research can continue to be published in KBS!

erhgu8 2021-08-02

Me too, but I couldn't get in touch with anyone from this journal at all. So I directly made changes on my own version, and since the modifications were minimal, I just submitted it like that.

lisa 2021-08-02

Help, the second round of editing suggestions asks to download "view reviewer attachment" in the em system, and requires changes to be made on it, but the em system does not have this file, and the author's email cannot be found. I have sent an email to the editor through submission, but it has been a week and there is no response. Where can I send an email to get a reply?
Have any friends encountered the same problem~

erhgu8 2021-07-27

It also depends on the specific AE responsible for your manuscript, as different AEs have different speeds. Some AEs can process manuscripts quickly, while others may have no progress for several months.

小白菜 2021-07-26

First time submitting to this journal, and it should also be the last time. The speed is indeed extremely slow. After submission, the editor held onto it for a month. Then, it was sent for external review for half a year. They provided a minor revision, addressing some minor issues with the wording. After making quick modifications and resubmitting, it has been almost eight months since the second review, and I am exhausted! I have reminded the editor three times already, trying all methods including directly emailing the editor-in-chief, sending emails through the website, and using the submission system, but all have gone unanswered. In the end, I have given up hope. Whenever they decide to reply, they will reply. I wonder if this journal has the longest review period; if not, it is hard to imagine... It has already delayed me from my first year of graduate school to my third year.

远离馒头的包子 2021-07-21

Classmate, have you sent the email after waiting for more than eight months?

KQ 2021-07-19

On July 18, the date was updated again, and the status is still under review. The first review has been almost 8 months.

lisa 2021-07-16

I found it on the homepage and sent it from my own email, but there was no response.

xiaochenhui 2021-07-09

How can I rush it? Do you have an email?

Gov 2021-07-08

Submitted on June 17th, it is still with the editor until now. Hmm, maybe the amount of manuscripts is too large… It has been staying in the hands of the editor for such a long time.

The processing speed feels alright.

Makes sense, but some journals, by suddenly increasing the number of published articles, have caused a significant increase in the impact factor, which is indeed a bit suspicious!

次北 2021-07-05

Since 1975, the impact factor has brought a series of significant innovations to the development of bibliometrics. The calculation method of this year's "Journal Citation Reports" will incorporate online content into the JCR (2020 data) for the year 2021, adopting a phased and forward-looking approach to reconcile the time differences introduced by publishing institutions. Prior to 2020, the final publication year was used for each year, while after 2020, the publication year of online publication is used.

After implementing the new algorithm, there has been a significant increase in the 2020 SCI impact factor. For example, the CA-A CANCER JOURNAL FOR CLINICIANS, still ranked first in the impact factor ranking, increased from 292.2 last year to 508.7, reaching a historic high. Nature increased from 42.778 to 49.962, Science from 41.845 to 47.728, and Cell from 38.637 to 41.582, showing an overall upward trend.

Translate the following text into English: The latest if=8.038 in 2020, but it's a bit inflated, feeling undeserving!
