Just wait, if three months is not enough, then remind them. It takes four months for mine to be under review.

Gov 2021-10-26

Anyway, I transferred from "with editor" to "under review" after 4.5 months... I followed up once at the three-month mark.

antistick 2021-10-21

Is it not clear enough that it has been over two months for review?

whuwm 2021-10-20

How many months for the review process?

I have an idea for a vomiting emoji, but it seems like I can't send it.

Ye20 2021-10-19

Excuse me, does KBS journal require plagiarism check for papers? If so, does entering "under review" mean that the check has been done?

Ye20 2021-10-19

May I ask if your paper submission requires plagiarism check? If so, does being "under review" mean that it has passed the plagiarism check?

antistick 2021-10-02

May I ask, on workdays, should I write an email (the one the teacher reminded me about) using the system by clicking on "SEND EMAIL," or should I directly send it to the editor-in-chief, Jie Lu? Thank you.

我的处女作花落谁家 2021-09-30

Continuing from comment 134: After more than a year, I finally got accepted.
Summary:
1. The first round of questions were not too difficult, and the logic was on point, with 20 questions. The second round with Ref1 was a bit unreasonable, focusing on formatting and language. After citing over 10 papers from Ref2, it seemed... The third round with the editor took three months, and after half a month of being under review, a decision was made on the same day to accept.
2. Most of the time was spent with the editor, but in reality, it would have been better if they had provided feedback during the under review stage, which usually takes around 2 months.
3. I didn't change the status, but I sent an email during weekdays (my professor helped me to urge them).
4. The speed of review is affected during winter/summer vacations, so it is recommended to submit on auspicious days!
4. Life is short, I'm done with KBS.
My attitude towards this journal has gone from admiration to dislike to helplessness. After all, it is my first non-open-source scientific paper. Of course, getting accepted is a happy moment, but the roller coaster and the time spent waiting for this journal has diminished my fondness for it (especially since the deadline for national awards is September 30th. I even thought that if the reviewer hadn't taken a bathroom break yesterday, I could have earned an extra 20k money -.-!!!). Nevertheless, I consider myself lucky compared to those who have waited for their reviews for 2 years. Finally, I wish all the younger students, colleagues, and researchers to receive the recognition they deserve. Happy National Day!

I can't submit the revised manuscript, Author Agreement, and Credit Author Statement.

Ethan_w 2021-09-27

The submission has been under review for a year, the revision took three months, and it has finally been accepted.

youmiga 2021-09-24

It took me three weeks to be under review.

antistick 2021-09-24

Posted on August 17th, currently still with the editor. Are there others in the same situation? Should I withdraw the submission? Thank you.

How can I know how many reviewers have been invited?

早日接收 2021-09-14

Field is computer and small program cannot be selected.

燕子11 2021-09-13

The second trial is approaching 4 months soon, and I haven't received any reply by sending emails through the system. Can any expert guide me on what should I do?

已投结果未知 2021-09-13

Invitations have been sent to four reviewers, but we have yet to receive any responses regarding their acceptance. We are eagerly waiting to find reviewers as soon as possible in order to proceed with the manuscript. Every submission made this year has been incredibly fast, which is causing great urgency.

Archerzjc 2021-09-12

The review process was fast, but despite three reviewers accepting and only one rejecting, it ultimately resulted in rejection. I wanted to reach out to the editor again as there were many unreasonable aspects in the reviewer's rejection comments, but I couldn't contact them. After the first major revision, I spent a whole month making significant improvements and provided over 40 pages of responses. Suddenly, one of the reviewers raised a new point of contention. After that, the editor no longer gave me a chance to respond.

2020-01-08 Submission with editor
2020-01-27 Under review
...(Forgot the details in between, but I remember making 3 revisions)...
...(There were 3 reviewers, 2 of them were satisfied with the first round of revisions, but the remaining one was very stubborn... Added experiments until I was exhausted, and he even checked the comments of the other 2 reviewers and my response, saying that I didn't make good enough changes and demanded that I continue to revise according to the comments of those 2 reviewers! Extremely frustrated...)...
...
2021-09-07 Accepted (It was 9:50 pm at the playground, contemplating life...)

Duration: One year and nine months...
Summary: I can only say, either you are confident in submitting to KBS in the first or second semester, or don't submit at all... unless you don't want to graduate on time... I saw someone asking in the comments why there was no news after a month. I can only say that receiving the first review is just the beginning...
It seems that Professor LU is determined to improve the journal's quality, huh? Perhaps KBS fell out of the TOP rankings in a certain year and it stimulated them?
Anyway, as long as I meet the graduation requirements...

KQ 2021-09-07

I submitted it in November last year, and it has been in the first round of review until now. I gave up a long time ago.

夏天的鱼 2021-09-06

The first trial took two and a half months, for major revisions.
The second trial took one and a half months, for minor revisions and polishing.
Afterwards, it will take one month for acceptance.

antistick 2021-09-04

It has been almost a month since submission, and I have been working with the editor all this time. This journal is truly frustrating.

Dream123456 2021-09-03

It's alright for you, at least you received feedback. I also submitted my work in September last year, and I still haven't received any feedback from the first review until now!!

Everest 2021-09-02

The time is wrong, let me correct it:
Submitted on 2020-09-26 with editor
Under review since 2020-11-05
Received first-round comments on 2021-03-27, with 19 comments from two reviewers
Submitted revised manuscript on 2021-04-20 with editor
Under review since 2021-05-06
Received second-round comments on 2021-06-13, with one reviewer agreeing to accept the paper and the other reviewer not providing any comments. The editor provided 3 formatting suggestions.
Submitted revised manuscript on 2021-06-28 with editor
Still with the editor as of 2021-09-02

Feeling a bit excited, and quite frustrated.

Everest 2021-09-02

2020-09-26 posted with editor
2020-11-05 under review
2021-03-27 First review feedback, 19 comments from two reviewers
2021-04-20 revised manuscript submitted with editor
2021-05-06 under review
2021-06-13 Second review feedback, one reviewer agrees to accept, the other reviewer has not provided feedback, editor provided 3 comments on formatting
2020-06-28 revised manuscript submitted with editor
2020-09-02 still with editor

Summary: The journal's review process is incredibly slow. The manuscript has been in the "with editor" status for over a month during the first review, and over two months for the second review without moving to "under review". Emails sent have received no response, indicating a difficulty in finding reviewers. There is also no option to suggest reviewers. Currently, it has become a dilemma, with high sunk costs. It is strongly discouraged for those who need to publish their latest research quickly.

Gallop 2021-08-30

Submitted twice:
The first time was for 2 months, but there were objections. Both reviewers provided around 10 comments, and according to their comments, it was not clear that the paper would be rejected. However, the editor rejected it. (The application of artificial intelligence in anti-cancer peptides was discussed.)
The second time, after 5 months of review by two reviewers, there were not many issues, fewer than 20. The editor requested revisions (related to the application of artificial intelligence in medical imaging). After the revisions were made, it was accepted directly within 2 weeks.

Is "revision" a major overhaul and "revise" a minor one? My condition is "revise", I'm not sure if it's a minor one.

Is "revision" a major overhaul, and "revise" a minor adjustment?

Is revision a major overhaul and revise a minor one? Where did you see this?

Is revise a minor repair or a major repair?
