I wanted to submit my first article to this magazine, but it was rejected. The second one was my favorite project, and when I submitted it, I could clearly feel the editor's interest. So, despite receiving three reviewers' comments on my first submission (two major revisions and one rejection), the editor requested a second review, and both reviewers recommended major revisions.

I then began the process with five reviewers, receiving 43 comments for revisions and modifications. It was a mix of pain and joy. After two rounds of modifications, it was finally accepted. Overall, I feel very good about it. The questions asked by the reviewers were highly valuable and greatly helped improve the article.

I have to complain about this journal, I'm so angry...
It took a total of five days, and it was directly rejected without being reviewed. The editor-in-chief from Canada, who is in charge, does functional materials himself and said that the performance was not good enough to achieve "high impact." The material name in the rejection letter was even written incorrectly... speechless.
I just checked the weekly paper recommendations, and the same material published by this journal also has mediocre performance. It's really unfair. There is even an option for recommended editors when submitting, so be cautious when submitting as a small group. No matter how well you do, they won't even take a second look. I will permanently blacklist this journal.

First round of reviews on August 3rd, two major revisions and one rejection. However, both major revisions received top 20% evaluations, so the editor gave them an opportunity for revision.
Revised version submitted on August 24th.
Second round of reviews on September 24th, both major revisions accepted. The previously apparent rejection tone was softened, but the reviewer is someone who pays attention to details, which I admire. I made further modifications as requested and spent 24 RMB to purchase a one-week Grammarly membership for grammar correction.
Revised version submitted on September 26th.
Notification of acceptance sent on October 1st.
The process went smoothly, but please note that I filled in myself as the corresponding author in the system, and the email for the first round of reviews was also sent to me. However, from the second round of reviews to the acceptance email, they were sent to the corresponding author with the highest ranking in the article, which was the default. My supervisor checks the email every day, so there was no delay in between. Once again, I thank AMI journal for its efficient review process.

Don't worry, this magazine is considered fast. I submitted it on June 26th, it was assigned to an editor on July 1st, and the first review feedback was received on August 4th. It was accepted after two major revisions and one rejection. The editor gave high praise for the revisions, both reviewers ranked it in the top 20%. It was revised on August 24th and the second review feedback was received on September 24th. There were no major issues at that point. It was revised again on September 29th, and now we are waiting for the final result.

September 18th, accepted directly, received an email notification stating that the link to the online journal publishing agreement will be provided soon, and the ACS editor will contact me in the near future regarding the proofreading of the manuscript.
