Finally, I can share it. JAFC has always been my moonlight. I was rejected twice before. Submitted on 25th October 2022. I heard from my junior that there would be a decision in about two days, and if there's no decision, the chances of being sent for review are high. I waited nervously and about a week later, it was sent for review. I was overjoyed because I felt that being sent for review was a form of recognition. Major revisions were done on 6th December 2022, given a month. The editor said that if needed, the recovery period could be extended. There were two reviewers in total, and the questions were difficult to answer. Two experiments needed to be supplemented, and after working hard with the teacher, one experiment was added. I heard from my junior that someone in the neighboring laboratory was rejected after major revisions. I had mixed feelings. On 3rd January 2023, it was sent back for revisions and reviewed on the same day. Minor revisions were done on 5th February 2023 (but the line below says major revisions). One reviewer thought there were no issues, but the other mentioned problems with image layout. Spent another day modifying it. The editor had some issues (with the format) and made some changes as well. Sent back for revisions to the journal on 7th February 2023, and reviewed on the same day. Accepted on 14th February 2023, the second day of school, a Valentine's Day gift.
