My paper was just accepted (2022/02/08). The paper was submitted last September, and on September 25th, I received a major revision request, requiring one month to revise. Due to personal reasons, I applied for a one-month extension and submitted the revised version on November 23rd. Afterward, there were three minor revisions, mainly focused on reducing the word count and polishing the language. The editor was very nice and responded promptly. If it weren't for personal reasons, it should have been published quickly.

JAFC is a journal that I have always wanted to submit to. The review process went smoothly, and it was accepted in two and a half months. The review process is as follows:

November 7, 2021: Submission;
December 6, 2021: Minor revisions. The evaluations from the two reviewers were highly positive, and they provided professional suggestions, but they were all minor issues;
December 26, 2021: Returned with R1. I carefully responded to every question and also polished the language of the article.
January 27, 2022: Acceptance. Since the article was sent back to the reviewers and there was no response for a month, I thought there would be further revisions, but it was accepted directly.

This is the only article in my entire submission career that required only one round of revisions and was accepted. The review speed of this journal is really fast, and the editors and reviewers are very nice. Highly recommended!
