I have submitted two papers in the field of object detection. The first one went pretty quickly, with the first review taking 45 days and the second review taking one month. However, the second paper was really slow! The first review took 5 months, and the second review took one month.

Timeline for the first paper:
- Submitted on January 7, 2019
- Sent to the editor on January 8, 2019
- Under review on January 9, 2019
- Major revisions requested on March 25, 2019 (first review took 45 days)
- Minor revisions requested on April 25, 2019 (second review took 15 days)
- Accepted on May 14, 2019

Timeline for the second paper:
- Submitted on September 23, 2020
- Sent to the editor on September 25, 2020
- Under review on September 28, 2020
- Major revisions requested on March 23, 2021 (first review took 6 months!!)
- Under review again on May 23, 2021 (second review took 40 days)
- Accepted on July 9, 2021
- Published on July 17, 2021
