What I did was an estimation of the state of charge (SOC) of a battery, not a new direction, but I used a machine learning method that I personally felt was quite innovative. However, both reviewers rejected it. Surprisingly, the reviewers did not offer any suggestions to help improve the article. One person even asked why there was no mathematical expression for SOC, but I have never seen a need to include a formula for SOC. Other comments were similar, asking why I chose the parameter 64 or questioning what the article was actually trying to achieve. It's just bad luck, I should switch journals.

Resubmitted in February 2021.

Accepted directly in August 2021.

The process was not fast, but the outcome was good. If you are in a hurry to graduate with a paper, I do not recommend submitting to this journal.
