So slow, waiting is so annoying, it feels like most of the time it's the reviewers who delay it for a long time, and only submit their comments at the last minute. I really don't recommend this journal for students who are eager to graduate, it's too slow. The more revisions, the slower it gets, and the manuscripts stay with the reviewers for a long time. This feeling is very uncomfortable, a minor revision and many people would have returned it within 2 days, but they manage to drag it for about a month.

During the first round, this status lasted for over two months, during which I sent two reminders, thinking it was because of the Chinese New Year. Unexpectedly, after the second round of review, this "Required Reviews Completed" status has lasted for nearly a month, and there has been no progress at all. Waiting has exhausted my patience.

Espr is a good journal, but the time it has been in the hands of the editor is indeed too long.

The whole process took about 4 months. ESPR can be said to be one of the slowest journals I have encountered so far. The review time of the reviewers is uncontrollable, but ESPR mainly takes a long time in the hands of the editorial department. Basically, each round takes about a month at the editorial department before reaching the review stage.
This paper is considered relatively fast for ESPR. It is mainly due to luck that it was accepted directly after the external review. If there were minor revisions, it would take another two months or so.
