Update: Today I received the acceptance email from the editor, and my first EST article has finally been published. I am very happy. From submission to acceptance, it took over four months. The initial review took 40 days, and the editor requested significant revisions, including additional experiments. They politely addressed each reviewer's comments and it took 30 days to complete the modifications. Then came the lengthy second review process, which took 55 days. I checked the review status almost every day during this time. When it reached over forty days, I sent a reminder email to the editor. They responded the same day, politely informing us that one reviewer had requested an extension and assured us that they would urge the reviewer as the deadline approached. After that, I waited for about a week to receive the acceptance email. After completing this article, I feel that my abilities have improved in various aspects. I hope to publish more articles in the future and I wish everyone success in submitting their papers.

Continue to update for reference by future people. Received on September 9th, received the revised manuscript email on September 15th. With this, the work on this article is successfully completed. The waiting time for proofreading for ACS database is slightly longer, about a week or so, not as fast as the Elsevier database, which has a manuscript status query system. I have never submitted to an ACS journal before and waiting for the proofreading is really uncomfortable. I wish everyone good luck with their submissions. Update it, submit it on July 28th, and it will be assigned to an editor quickly, and then sent for review. The process is also fast. The first round of review ended on August 24th, with 3 reviewers. Two minor revisions and one uncertain whether it is a major or minor revision. The editor gave minor revisions, with a 20-day timeframe. After completing the revisions, it was returned on September 3rd and accepted on September 8th. The first EST (Environmental Science and Technology) article, lucky enough and the speed was fast too. Since the beginning of my research career, I have hoped to publish an article in EST, and I hope my wish can come true. Compared to other journals, EST's review process is relatively slow. The initial review took more than 40 days, but the quality of the review comments was very high. The three reviewers provided around 30 suggestions, which included additional experiments, further analysis of some experimental data, and minor adjustments to the paper's structure based on the comments. Overall, the quality of the revised paper has greatly improved. I hope to receive good news as soon as possible.

Submitted again in February 2021, with the same reviewer, who gave completely ignorant feedback and still rejected the submission. Submitted again in May 2021, and the reviewer complained about numerous spelling errors in their own review comments and criticized the English in the article. Accepted on July 1st.

The first EST in 中 took a whole year from rejection to acceptance. After the first submission, I received a rejection email from the editor asking for resubmission after a month. There were four reviewers, with feedback of over 4,000 words. I wrote a response of nearly 20,000 words for the first time. After nine months, I resubmitted the revised version, which underwent review for over a month and required substantial revisions. An additional reviewer was assigned, and this time I wrote a response of 9,000 words. The process continued with minor revisions and adjustments to the formatting, and finally, it was accepted. Writing an EST article is truly not easy.
