I have submitted this magazine twice, and in my mind, EST is the top magazine. The first and second times were both in the hands of the same associate editor. Next, I will list the submission process to provide some information for future contributors.

First submission: After submitting, it took one day to reach the editor-in-chief and three more days to reach the associate editor, Jordi Dachs. Then, it went for review (approximately 40 days). There were three reviewers, one of whom was more aggressive in their comments. Two major revisions and one minor revision were suggested. However, the associate editor rejected the submission, indicating that it would no longer be considered. Overall, the feedback was very helpful and contributed significantly to the article. Later, I resubmitted it to JHM, and it was accepted in one month.

Second submission: I submitted it on the 3rd of this month, and it took two days to reach the editor-in-chief and another two days to reach the associate editor, Jordi Dachs. It is currently uncertain, but if there is any news, I will update it later. Overall, the handling speed of the manuscript is relatively reasonable and can be described as steady.

The first submission of the research beginner was made with courage to choose EST. After two and a half months, the editorial department replied with a rejection. The journal has high requirements for novelty and impact. The next submission will still choose EST in order to strive for future opportunities. Now, I will share the experience of failure as follows:

There were a total of two reviewers. The first one provided a rejection reason and raised several questions that were difficult to answer. The second reviewer provided many detailed questions, which helped improve the quality of the paper to some extent.

It seems that other submissions directly show Editor XXX, and they are in a grayed-out state, unable to send emails by clicking on it. However, for Email Editor XXX, clicking on it allows me to send an email. Do I need to include any specific content? For example, should I send a cover letter? The status of the manuscript does not display a communication email.

I submitted two articles from last year to this year and encountered two different editors. The submission periods were very different. The first article took eight months in the review process, with five reminders sent throughout the process, but they were mostly ineffective. The editor had their own judgment and work rhythm.

However, we rejected modification for two of the issues raised. The fourth reviewer did not understand and requested a flowchart explaining the content and purpose of the paper.
