The magazine requires a total of no more than 20 pages. How can we achieve this, everyone? After deleting to 20 pages, the articles will have very little content left.

gdada 2022-05-12

Submitted on December 3rd, approximately one week later it was sent for review. On April 12th, the status changed a bit but still under review. On May 12th, it showed "decision in process". Please bless me with a chance to revise. How are your results? I wish you all the best.

丑丑哒 2022-05-06

May I ask if you have any news? After the review, it will be "decision in progress". It's been 10 days already and there is still no message.

pc-co 2022-04-29

I hate this kind of decision without review, and they still don't give any results. Just reject it quickly, stop dragging it out.

gdada 2022-04-28

The article I recently submitted for review on March 12th, and then on April 12th, there was a change in status, indicating it was again under review. It hasn't reached you yet, so please, I beg the editor to give me a chance for revisions.

复材小白 2022-04-26

No news yet, I guess the results will be out this week. Is yours the same?

gdada 2022-04-26

Do you have any news, OP?

复材小白 2022-04-23

Okay, thank you. Looking forward to a good result. It would be great if "Decision in Process" doesn't have any particular inclination at this time.

DDWB 2022-04-23

This is not necessarily certain. It could be either revisions or rejection. Based on the feedback so far, it is estimated that a decision letter will be received within 1 week.

复材小白 2022-04-23

Does it mean anything negative when "under review" changes to "Decision in Process" after one month?

DDWB 2022-04-22

10 days is normal. Data from the journal homepage:
Time to First Decision: 2.4 weeks
Review Time: 3.3 weeks
Publication Time: 0.9 weeks

张志豪 2022-04-21

It has been 10 days with the editor, is it going to be rejected?

复材小白 2022-04-16

Generally, rejection occurs within a week, with a small chance of being sent for review.

咕咕561 2022-04-15

How long does it take to have the next status after submitting with editor and directly entering "decision in process"?

Two articles have been accepted. The first one took about one and a half months from submission to online publication. The second one has been under review for three months, with a decision in process for 10 days. It went through two rounds of review, and all three reviewers had positive comments. After conducting additional experiments and revising the manuscript accordingly, it was accepted without further revisions. The whole process took approximately four months. Personally, I believe that the direction and content of the research played a significant role in the acceptance. The experimental content was as comprehensive as possible, and there were no major issues with the fundamentals.

The current rejection rate of this magazine is 90%. If the decision in process is "directly", there is basically no hope. You will receive a rejection notice within a week. You can consider submitting to other magazines.

小海11 2022-04-02

It has only been two days since it was invested, and it has already become like this. I don't know if it will turn into a tragedy directly!

lh1997 2022-04-02

How long does the "Decision in Process" status usually last after two days of submission?

吃瓜群众小陈 2022-04-01

OP, my situation is the same as yours. How many days did your decision in process take? Was it eventually rejected?

观天澜 2022-04-01

There is a recorded online conference on Bilibili, in which the chief editor Wang Hao introduces composite materials and Part B.

@DDWB It's not about being difficult, but about selecting the best among the best. Nowadays, almost every journal receives thousands or even tens of thousands of submissions. They have to choose the best papers and reject the rest. That's why people come to platforms like letpub to vent their frustration. Hahaha.

DDWB 2022-03-30

@IronLovingRabbit, you can also refer to the conversation on the 743rd floor. Everyone hopes to finish their articles in one go, and actually, those editors also hope for the same. I don't think the editors have any motive to "make things difficult" for us authors, otherwise they wouldn't waste time finding reviewers for you.

DDWB 2022-03-30

Haha, I think what you said might be true. The acceptance rate of journals seems to be around 10% (~700 published out of ~7000 submissions per year). Can you let us know how half of the publications in the US are achieved? Is it 1 out of 2, 10 out of 20, or 500 out of 1000?

观天澜 2022-03-30

60% of the articles submitted by Chinese people are directly rejected, 30% are rejected after peer review, and only the remaining 10% are accepted. However, half of the articles submitted by Americans are accepted. With the current impact factor nearing 11, is it still easy to reject ambiguous manuscripts?

爱举铁的兔子 2022-03-29

There are review comments, two of them are positive, the third one didn't provide any specific opinions, just mentioned that it doesn't meet the criteria, and then commented that there is a lack of innovation and suggested submitting it elsewhere. Finally, the editor requested revisions before resubmission. It's a bit frustrating.

If you have enough confidence, you can argue.
In fact, there are many factors in rejecting or accepting a manuscript. The editor may hesitate before handling the manuscript. If they don't see any "words of praise" in the reviewers' comments, the outcome may not be good. It is also possible that the reviewer didn't say anything, but still gave a reject decision because they feel that the article lacks novelty.

DDWB 2022-03-21

Most likely yes. In this situation, it is possible that the person handling the editing is familiar with this content and can quickly make a decision, as if using a legal eye.
