It seems that the handling of manuscripts in the past few months has been very slow. It has been almost a month since submission, but it has not been processed yet by the editor.

mike 2021-05-13

What is the status after you guys made the major revision? Mine has been constantly showing "with editor", the date has changed but it hasn't shown "submitted for review".

卿卿梓金 2021-05-10

Why can't I access the submission system?

雪大爷 2021-04-22

Sent on April 1st, it was under review by April 4th. The evaluation results have not been released yet, hoping for a positive outcome.

xmuchen 2021-04-20

3 reviewers, one major revision, 2 minor revisions, and the editor rejected it directly... why?

It took a month to submit, but the review process was fast. After 17 days, a major revision was given. The reviewer was very professional and had no negative comments overall. However, careful modifications are still needed, hoping for acceptance. Another article was submitted to CSTE, expecting a quick review, but now it has been in the editor's hands for 20 days.

osechill 2021-04-12

20 days for review, currently it has been reviewed for 1 month.

笨笨的小猪 2021-04-03

The journal's speed is quite fast. The manuscript was submitted on 2.26, reviewed on 2.28, received a revision notification on 3.15, returned for revision on 3.24, and accepted on 4.1. The whole process went smoothly. This research result has been withheld for two years and the paper is quite innovative, with comprehensive characterization analysis. Overall, it seems that COM B prefers articles on composite material structure design. Perhaps this type of paper has strong novelty.

Dear colleague who works on perovskite,
Please contact me directly at kfu@udel.edu. I also work on batteries and I understand the differences between working with nanomaterials and composite materials. We cannot approach every project from a biophysical and environmental perspective, but we strive to present important and interesting work that reflects both internal and external aspects. After all, those who work on perovskite have submitted their work to Nature Science, while composite materials remain a specialized field. Thank you for your support. If anyone has any questions regarding submissions, please contact me.

No worries, you don't have to worry about it. Hao Wang will ask you to do it, just wait for the message.

Suddenly I discovered that many journals published in Part B have poor quality, and it feels like they are of low standard. What is the positioning of Part B???

DDWB 2021-03-28

After reading some recent comments, I have roughly figured out something. Well, I won't say anything anymore, in order to avoid being accused and bitten as a shill.

钙钛矿 2021-03-28

@Luomu, just one opinion, is it unlikely? Part B often sends many people at once. I used to have 6 reviewers for one article, and the feedback was driving me crazy. Is there a way that some opinions are being deleted because they are afraid of your appeal? But this is just my guess. I don't think the editor can be so unprofessional, right?

钙钛矿 2021-03-28

@DDWB, it seems that you have good luck. Overall, there is a significant difference between Part B and Compos Sci Technol and Part A. In terms of the quality of the manuscripts, B's manuscript is relatively mediocre. The only advantage is the impact factor, mainly because of the self-citations (last time, Hao Wang specifically mentioned in the comments to cite papers from 19-20 Part B). In order to publish articles, I had to endure it.

钙钛矿 2021-03-28

@CarbonTalk; @shuier: 35 days and 60 days are not considered long. My previous manuscript took four months to process, and in the end, I emailed it and was rejected by Hao Wang (apparently the chief editor). @xiaoli2021: I also feel that an editor named Junwei Gu is very good. I hope to have the opportunity to receive my next submission.

聚集体 2021-03-28

@shuier, if you want a tragedy, just provoke Hao Wang, you know what I mean. I always feel that Hao Wang is very peculiar, a Chinese person who is arrogant and ignorant. Could it be that he has been brainwashed by Australians?

聚集体 2021-03-28

@Mike, indeed very willful. Especially Hao Wang, very domineering. If you provoke him, he will directly finish you off. Haha.

聚集体 2021-03-28

@xiaoli2021, it seems like you know quite a lot. Can you reveal some inside information?

聚集体 2021-03-28

Brother, you must endure and definitely not rush. If you rush, Editor Wang will definitely reject you, and without any reason needed.

聚集体 2021-03-28

The current handling of Part B manuscripts is really slow, and once we rush the progress of the manuscript, it may end up in tragedy, making me feel helpless. I remember there used to be an editor named Junwei Gu who was very diligent and efficient. He processed manuscripts quickly and provided constructive peer review comments. However, recently I heard from a friend that he is no longer working as an editor? What happened? Does anyone know why? Also, why does the Part B editor deliberately ask us to cite some Part B papers? Is it appropriate?

聚集体 2021-03-28

I heard that Junwei Gu is no longer serving as Part B editor? What happened? It seems like the future of Part B is worrying.

小李2021 2021-03-27

@DDWB, you seem to be the typical stooge for Part B. What benefits did Chief Editor Wang give you?

爱生活爱茂茂 2021-03-25

I have been waiting for 4 months, and the first trial has not yet ended, coinciding with the National College Entrance Examination (NSC).

mike 2021-03-25

Is it because of the large number of submissions that it is indeed very slow? It has been a month and it is still in the hands of the editor. The editor should at least take a look, accept if it's fine or reject if not. What's the point of keeping it hanging like this? I heard that you can't even send emails to urge them, they will reject directly if you do. It feels like the editors are very capricious, and they have no sense of responsibility at all.

DDWB 2021-03-25

As a member of Part B, I have so far submitted and had one article accepted. Personally, I believe that both the professionalism and speed of the review comments are in line with the current impact factor. As for the suggestions of major or minor revisions, they are probably the author's own speculation, just like the evaluations of several A's or B's in the review of the Natural Science Foundation (if you really know, then...). In addition, if the editor does not see endorsement of the originality of the manuscript from the reviewers, even if it requires "major revisions," the editor may ultimately reject the submission. This is a common practice for top-tier journals or journals striving to become top-tier.

DDWB 2021-03-25

@小李2021 @Part B粉
What deep grudge do you have with Part B that has led to recent intense criticism? I actually think that your constant back-and-forth might make people question the credibility of your statements.

Welcome to submit contributions. We are currently expediting the processing and hope everyone can understand. The recent volume of submissions has significantly increased, so we hope everyone can make their graphics aesthetically pleasing and hold themselves to high standards in their work. This will help establish mutual trust with the editors and provide better service for this journal.

碳碳谈谈 2021-03-24

I have reminded them twice about the manuscript. The first time I asked them to remind the editor, and the second time they directly rejected it. The rejection message is always the same, saying that the rejection rate is over 90%.
