The review speed for the first round was still very fast. It was handled by the editor-in-chief, Antonio. The minor revisions came back in less than a month (only one reviewer). After resubmitting for the second round, it took a little over half a month for the minor revisions to be addressed. However, there were only a few grammar issues. I originally thought that once the modifications were submitted, the editor would directly accept them. But it was sent for review again, which left me speechless. Maybe they are waiting for the reviewer to explicitly say "it can be accepted" before accepting it. Is this how composite structures usually go?
