尼玛的钢盔 2021-06-02

Hello, I have a question. When choosing an editor, can I choose a teacher from my own country? In the same situation, should I choose a foreigner or a Chinese person?

2021-05-28

I want to ask the original poster, why has the status of my article changed from "under review" to "reviews invited" now?

夜如何其 2021-05-27

I wrote a review article on nanomaterials, and the journal's speed is very fast. It took only a month and a half from submission to acceptance, during which I also made revisions for over ten days. The first reviewer gave a very high evaluation and suggested accepting the original manuscript. The second reviewer provided several suggestions, some of which were difficult to address as there were no relevant studies available.
I am extremely grateful to editor Dr. Yoon for being so kind and efficient in handling the manuscript. It was resubmitted on the first day and accepted on the second day. Chemosphere is truly an excellent and efficient journal, worth submitting to.

First submission took one month to receive, and the editor, Dr. Grzegorz Lisak, was very responsible and had a friendly attitude towards the paper. Now, let me talk about my experience with the second submission. It was handled by Dr. Jun Huang, and it took a whole week for them to process it. However, they directly rejected it, citing that the number of illustrations in the research paper exceeded the journal's limit of seven. It's really ironic because I checked the articles published in 2021, and every one of them had more than seven illustrations in the main text. Their dismissal was quite perfunctory.

I submitted two articles in November last year, and they were both handled by the same editor. One of them has been accepted, and the second one came back after the second round of revisions and is about to be accepted. There were many reviewers for the first article (5) and even more for the second article (9). It was painful to reply to their comments, but the suggestions they gave were indeed very good!

The editor's efficiency in handling the articles was a bit slow, but it noticeably improved after sending a reminder letter.

Half a year ago, someone in the laboratory was infected, reportedly two individuals. However, recently, the author's guidelines have been revised, resulting in an increase in the number of recommended reviewers and stricter requirements. I don't know if the number of reviewers has been changed.

Just want to ask a few reviewers.

Hello, does your plagiarism detection rate include references or not include references? I have received my review comments, and one of them is: if the plagiarism rate of my text is higher than 15%, please lower it. I have made modifications and now the rate without references is 9%, and with references is 20%. Therefore, I would like to ask if the rate includes references.

Hello, does your plagiarism check include references or not include references? I have received the reviewer's comments now. One of the comments suggests reducing the plagiarism rate if it is higher than 15%. The plagiarism rate of my article without references is 9%, and with references is 20%. I would like to ask if you include or do not include references. Thank you.

I was rejected due to a high plagiarism rate on my submission. After making revisions, I submitted it again and received feedback from a minor edit. The workload was acknowledged and eventually I was approved. The process from the minor edit to acceptance was quite fast, about a little over a month.

I should have submitted my article to Chemosphere in October, which took half a year. After going through a major revision, I received minor revisions, but after sending them back, I waited for a month without any feedback. It was very slow, usually taking a month to complete one action. I feel that this journal is heavily influenced by the editors and their opinions.

Due to the Chinese New Year, the revision time was extended by one month. The journal's review process was indeed quite fast, and it seems that the editor was patient in finding reviewers.
Not bad, thumbs up.
Although there were some difficulties in the first submission process, the result is good.

In less than two months, quite quickly, hoping Chemosphere will continue to improve.

This journal usually takes 1-2 months to provide initial review comments, which is already faster than most journals, so it is safe to say that it will be within 2 months.

chief chen 2021-03-18

After the major revision, it should have been returned to the two reviewers. The reviewers directly replied "accepted" and the response was quite fast, with results given within five days. That's why the editor decided to accept it.
The study focuses on the application of nanomaterials in soil remediation. Welcome to exchange and cite among peers: https://doi.org/10.1016/j.chemosphere.2021.130130
Wishing everyone success in their articles.

Professor Cao's processing speed is indeed impressive. He handled a previous article for my junior sister very quickly.

It was my first SCI paper, and I wasn't confident about submitting it to a journal in the top tier (Q1) of the JCR. However, to my surprise, I received the reviewer's comments just one month later and the paper was accepted. I am grateful for Professor Cao's efficient handling of the editing process. This journal is known for its fast publication speed, but the efficiency of different editors varies.

It was my first JCR (Journal Citation Reports) paper as a master's student.

Is it decided to edit directly without submitting for review after the major revision?

Overall evaluation: CHEM is very friendly to Chinese researchers, with fast editing and reviewing speed. The first review returned comments within a month, and the manuscript was accepted four days after major revision submission. When submitting, it is important to pay attention to the journal's submission requirements and format to avoid unnecessary troubles. This is the first JCR Q1 article during my PhD, and I would like to express my gratitude to Editor Dr. Teresa Cutright for her efficiency! I also wish everyone success in publishing their articles.
