Due to the nature of my work, which focuses on traditional chemical engineering and data-driven thermodynamic modeling, I specifically selected this editor. By then, the manuscript number had already exceeded 12,900, indicating the popularity of this journal. It is not surprising that the processing speed of submissions has slowed down given the high volume of manuscripts this journal currently receives. Moreover, after reading the comments on LetPub and Xiaomuchong, it seems that choosing the right editor is crucial. Future authors considering submitting to this journal should take note. I was mentioned in the article. I have been reading everyone's submission information here and now I want to contribute as well.

I submitted my contribution on February 19th. Due to the Chinese New Year period, the efficiency may have been slow. It stayed with the editor for a week and had a format change in the middle.

On March 31st, I received the review comments. There were a total of 5 reviewers: 1 minor revision, 1 acceptance, and 3 major revisions. I was given a month's time to conduct additional experiments, but the time was not enough, so I requested an extension.

On May 8th, I submitted the revised manuscript and responded to the comments. The editor sent it to 2 reviewers, who are known for being difficult to please.

On June 2nd, the two reviewers had no further comments, and the manuscript was accepted.

Since the impact factor of CEJ has increased in the past two years, the requirements have become higher. It was sent to 5 reviewers, which is quite a lot. It depends on luck, as if any of them reject it, then I'm probably out of luck. Besides that, the second round of review was sent to 2 picky reviewers.

In conclusion, I wish everyone good luck.
