First time submitting to a CP, there were 6 reviewers in the first round, major revisions were required with over 50 questions, various additional experiments were conducted, and it took 40 days to return with a response draft of over 30 pages and nearly 10,000 words. In the second round, it took 10 days and one reviewer suggested minor revisions with 3 small issues. The minor revisions were completed within 2 days and accepted. This was the most extensive response I have written so far, but fortunately, it was accepted.

There is no word limit, right? The total word count of my article is over ten thousand, including the references which don't take up much space. Anyway, it shows over twelve thousand words in Word. The editor didn't mention any word limit either. Plus, there are thirteen figures.
