It feels quite fast, submitted directly. Submitted in June, minor revisions in August, accepted in September, currently waiting for the final proofreading.

Previously, my senior fellow said it was difficult, and indeed, it was difficult after I applied. One week later, I was rejected due to language issues, logical issues, and innovation issues.

To see if there are any experts in the author of this journal.

太沙基门徒 2022-06-18

The translation of the text into English is as follows: "The editor rejected my submission for lacking innovation, so I resubmitted it to Engineering Geology and it was successfully published. I really don't understand the criteria for selecting articles in this journal! They consider an article to lack innovation if it hasn't undergone peer review. If it wasn't a leading and exceptional journal, it wouldn't even be within my range of preferred journals."

The demands are too high, with a rejection rate of 90% among Chinese people. I feel like they reject just for the sake of rejecting.

How long is the cycle from hiring to campus draft and then to online?

2021.9.30 submitted
2021.11.23 major revision
2022.2.24 accept

The editorial process was very efficient, and the journal had high requirements. The reviewers' questions were professional but not overly critical. During the final editing stage, they helped improve many minor details, resulting in significant enhancement of the paper.

May I ask why your journal has been so slow recently?

地下民工 2021-12-24

6.30 submit
7.25 under review
10.12 major revision
11.11 with editor
11.15 under review
12.10 decision in process
12.19 accept
Overall, it's relatively fast, but recently the difficulty of submitting seems to be not small.

Lava_DD 2021-12-10

According to relevant sources, it is revealed that the rejection rate for submissions from Chinese authors in this journal is over 90%. The editorial board is filled with academicians, and it seems difficult to get in without strong connections.

Translate the following text into English: The jointly developed technological breakthrough of the team was written and submitted to this magazine. Through extensive practice, the new technology was recognized by multiple institutions. Unfortunately, the submission was returned by the editor-in-chief after 7 days, stating that it did not meet the standards of this magazine and did not provide specific suggestions. It has now been submitted to another journal. Fortunately, the rejection process was relatively fast and did not cause significant delays.

According to the style of prestigious journals, initially, more articles than can be published are submitted for review, and ultimately, those with lower rankings are rejected. Is there a similar practice of submitting multiple job applications and ultimately not accepting many, or to take it further, is it feasible for me to submit the same article to multiple journals and select the best one for publication? Although I understand the desire of journals to improve, please do not harm the trust of everyone in the journal for short-term benefits, as water can carry a boat but also overturn it!

xyzh 2021-11-30

According to the style of prestigious journals, at first, it is considered that almost everything is sent for review. In the end, a threshold value is used to reject those with lower rankings. Is it similar to applying for jobs where I can apply to several and then choose? Furthermore, can I submit my article to multiple journals and then select the best one for publication? Is this acceptable? Do not lose scholars' trust in journals for short-term benefits. Understand the editorial team's desire to advance the journal, but please do not resort to any means necessary!

Are these few issues mentioned not supposed to be determined by the initial review after submission? Why does it take several months to delay and ultimately reject the manuscript due to issues such as language, coherence, and so on? Especially when several reviewers have given their approval, but the editor ultimately rejects it, isn't this a lack of respect for the reviewers' opinions? If the journal wants to develop well, I personally believe that the methods adopted by the editorial department are very undesirable and may not be conducive to the long-term development of the journal.

dennnis 2021-11-30

Isn't this supposed to be done by the editorial department after the submission is completed? Why is it placed as the last step? The chief editor has misused their authority, right? Where is the scientific spirit in this? Weird...

LSQ-JRMGE 2021-11-30

Currently, JRMGE adopts a centralized review of 22-25 papers for potential acceptance, so there is a threshold. For those below the threshold [minimum score], there may be papers that are approved by the reviewers and scientific editors, but unfortunately rejected in the end. After analyzing the papers rejected by the editorial team/editorial board, I found that the main reasons are as follows: 1) Language issues [not just simple grammar errors, but the logic, structure, and emphasis of the paper]; 2) Originality of the paper [in comparison with papers published by JRMGE and other journals in the same field]; 3) Readability of the paper [logical flow between paragraphs, description of results, discussion section, etc.]; 4) Issue of excessive text duplication in the paper [the paper will be checked for plagiarism, and if it exceeds a certain percentage, i.e., single paper exceeding 5% or cumulative exceeding 1% in total, it will be recorded]; 5) Possible issues with authorship [instances where authors are unaware but still included in the paper], and so on. On the other hand, due to JRMGE's low acceptance rate [approximately 8%], it is planned to transition into a monthly journal in 2023 and gradually expand its capacity to provide more scientists with the opportunity to publish good papers in JRMGE. Once again, I would like to thank all the experts for their valuable feedback and corrections.

Mine is also like this. Both reviewers of the first review approved the minor revisions. After submitting the revised manuscript for two months, it was rejected by the editor-in-chief with only one sentence: not innovative enough. The editorial board did not provide any feedback on the review.

Can you please post the reasons for the final rejection and tell us? Thank you.
Generally, the final decision is made by the editor-in-chief team or the editorial board of the journal.

山大摩尔 2021-11-22

Both reviewers and the academic editor agreed to publish, but the editorial committee's discussion resulted in a unanimous veto?!! They didn't even give a chance to revise? What is the purpose of sending the manuscript for review then?

May I ask how long your major repair took?

ccbozeman422 2021-04-15

Thank you Editor She for being very conscientious and responsible. The handling of the manuscript was timely. We hope that our local journal can maintain good quality and continue to improve.

The manuscript was initially submitted to Powder Technology 3. Reviewer 1 rejected it, and Reviewer 2 suggested minor revisions. However, the PT editor rejected it directly and it was transferred here.

Interestingly, the two reviewers recommended by Editor She happened to be the same reviewers who suggested minor revisions for PT. They copied their review comments from PT without making any modifications before transferring it here, so the entire process went smoothly.
