The speed is really fast. We have been receiving review comments even on weekends, thinking that people in foreign countries don't work on weekends. It took exactly one month from submission to acceptance. There were two major revisions and one minor revision.

The reviewing process was fast, it took about two weeks for the manuscript to be returned. There were minor revisions suggested, with approximately 20 comments provided by two reviewers. One reviewer had no suggestions and recommended acceptance directly.

The revision comments were returned in one day (usually, minor revisions require completion within five days). An additional author was added, initially not allowed, but after contacting the assistant editor and discussing it for a while, the addition was permitted.

The manuscript was submitted on February 8th, and the acceptance notification was received on March 1st.

If the article has a large number of negative opinions as stated by the editor, the editor reluctantly helps the author polish it into a positive opinion to estimate the author's fragile heart. In theory, when this Scopus journal comes to the door, I should have to review your article again, go through a series of reviews, and then pay 1000 CHF for publication.

Surprisingly, none of this is needed, and the article is directly accepted without any publication fees. This obviously means that the journal intentionally accepts articles that can enhance the influence and citations of this Scopus journal, diverting a part that meets their magazine's SCI standards (or needs major revisions), using the bait of waiving publication fees to see if they can catch some suitable articles.

Although this article is purely written to meet the temporary requirements of the project, it has also allowed me to see the sneaky operations of MDPI and learn a lot about the dark side of publishing houses.

I received comments from three reviewers, all of which suggested making modifications. However, unexpectedly, I received a rejection decision and when I asked the editor about the reason for rejection, they gave me the following absurd excuses:

"There are other comments that the reviewers submitted for only Editors to see. Although the comments to you could see were packaged positively for reconsideration, their overall score was a reject with no resubmission."

I am just curious, if all the comments are being polished as the editor claims, wouldn't the response letter become a disaster if significant revisions are actually made? How can we address each point effectively?
