Reply to post 151, sharing my second submission experience with JMR&T for everyone's reference. I got another acceptance at the end of the year, making the end of this year's group meeting better.
Submitted on October 25th, reviewed on October 24th in the US.
Under review on October 25th.
Under review on November 2nd (update).
Under review on November 10th (update).
Under review on November 18th (update). Updates are made every 8 days. I suspect that the reviewer rejected the review or it could be that feedback from a specific expert has arrived.
Still under review as of December 8th (no changes). I couldn't bear it any longer and sent a reminder. I quickly received a reply saying that feedback had arrived from one expert and several experts agreed to review.
Minor revisions on December 12th with only one comment.
Returned on December 13th.

The speed of manuscript review is determined by the speed of the reviewers. For some manuscripts, it is difficult to find reviewers for their research direction, or the reviewers may delay in reviewing, which results in a long review time. Once this journal finds reviewers, the process is usually very fast. I did the calculation and the acceptance rate should be around 1/3, so basically most manuscripts will be accepted.

The number increased in the early years but has remained stable since then. I think it's normal to quote papers from the journals I submit to. I do this for all journals I submit to, as long as the journal maintains a self-citation rate of below 30%. We are all competing for opportunities in the field of scientific research, and it's not easy.
