Aims and Scope

NDT&E international publishes peer-reviewed results of original research and development in all categories of the fields of nondestructive testing and evaluation including ultrasonics, electromagnetics, radiography, optical and thermal methods. In addition to traditional NDE topics, the emerging technology area of inspection of civil structures and materials is also emphasized. The journal publishes original papers on research and development of new inspection techniques and methods, as well as on novel and innovative applications of established methods. Papers on NDE sensors and their applications both for inspection and process control, as well as papers describing novel NDE systems for structural health monitoring and their performance in industrial settings are also considered. Other regular features include international news, new equipment and a calendar of forthcoming worldwide meetings. This journal is listed in Current Contents.

Brother, you're even more unfortunate than me. I submitted in May 2022 and became under review in August 2022, but the first-round decision still hasn't come out. I followed up twice in March this year and changed the date in April, but the status is still under review. The editor-in-chief replied the first time saying there's no reviewer, but never responded the second time. Now I don't know the specific status, and I'm thinking of withdrawing the submission.

The review time changed twice for the 5.2 and 5.8 revisions, with two reviewers.
One reviewer completed the review on 5.25.
The second reviewer completed the review on 5.30. On the same day in the afternoon, an decision email from the editor was received, showing that the editor was still quite fast. The two reviewers provided 15 comments, and the editor requested minor revisions. Hopefully, the subsequent process will go smoothly.
