JCM is a well-established journal in the field of composite materials. Many foundational articles on composite materials were originally published in this journal. It used to be classified as a Q3 journal by the Chinese Academy of Sciences, but its classification has now been lowered. The editors and reviewers of JCM are generally knowledgeable about composite materials, but the review process may not be very fast. Therefore, if you are in a hurry to publish your article, it is not advisable to consider this journal. However, overall, it is still worth considering submitting your article to JCM.

It took exactly 4 months from submission to acceptance, which is quite fast. I had to send two reminders in between, but it is still much quicker compared to CST or Composite journals, considering the difference in journal quality. Hopefully, the journal can make efforts to increase its impact factor!
