Aging clinical and experimental research offers a multidisciplinary forum on the progressing field of gerontology and geriatrics. The submission to the review process was quite fast, only taking a little over a month. However, the handling was unreasonable. The editor's letter suggested major revisions, but in the system, it was marked as a rejection and required a resubmission. During the second round of the process, it coincided with the Christmas holiday, and it is unknown how long it will take to receive a response. This is an absurd situation.

May I ask how long it took for your article's reviewer to enter the external review? I have also submitted my article and it has been 12 days, but it is still in the "reviewer assigned" status!
