Verified Reviews
Submitted to NCC, forgot which month in 2019, rejected within ten days without review, was asked to submit to NC;
Submitted to NC, also not reviewed........, then revised for a month;
Submitted to Science, rejected after a little over two weeks, asked to submit to Science Advances;
Submitted to SA in June 2019, major revision after 8 to 9 months, three reviewers' opinions were mostly positive; returned after three months, and after another four months, additional reviewer comments, all minor issues, no problems with the article, rejection reason was only: data not completely open (no strength to comment)
Submitted abstract to BAMS, editor-in-chief replied after half a month welcoming the submission;
Formally submitted, rejected and resubmitted after three months; revised for three months and submitted again; minor revisions for about two months; returned after one month, accepted in less than a month.
BAMS is also a journal I aspire to. This is the only time I have experienced it. The review speed doesn't feel very fast but it's acceptable; the publishing speed is a bit slow, it has been over two months and there is still no proof........
