Aims and Scope

Biological Invasions publishes research and synthesis papers on patterns and processes of biological invasions in terrestrial, freshwater, and marine (including brackish) ecosystems. Also of interest are scholarly papers on management and policy issues as they relate to conservation programs and the global amelioration or control of invasions. The journal will consider proposals for special issues resulting from conferences or workshops on invasions.There are no page charges to publish in this journal.

Submitted on October 21, 2021, the external review came back on February 2, 2022. It was rejected and required major revisions. Given two months to respond, it was resubmitted on April 6, 2022. In June 2022, two more external reviews were received, resulting in major revisions again. It was then resubmitted on August 6, 2022. On August 27, 2022, the review came back with minor revisions. The response was submitted on August 30, 2022. Acceptance was received on September 20, 2022, and it will be online by September 30, 2022.

Overall, the problems were difficult, with many suggestions, and it took a long time. Taking everything into account, the recommendation is not to invest.
