Aims and Scope

International Journal of Mining Science and Technology is an English-language journal. Previously entitled Journal of China University of Mining and Technology, it was founded in 1990 and publishes original and forefront research papers and high quality reviews covering recent advances in all fields of mining sciences and technologies. Papers to be published will be peer-reviewed and edited by authorities in those fields.

International Journal of Mining Science and Technology welcomes article submissions dealing with: Mining Engineering; Safety Technology and Engineering; Mineral Processing; Coalfield Geology; Geotechnical Engineering

I strongly disagree with your viewpoint. My article was accepted in March, and my mentor is just an ordinary professor without any titles such as academician or young scholar. However, it still impressed the editors and reviewers. Due to the delay at the end of the year, it took at least one month longer than usual, and the final result might be available within three months. Moreover, the quality of articles published in this journal has significantly improved in the past two years, and it can even be compared with top-tier journals in terms of quality. The authors of the published articles range from doctoral students to junior, intermediate, and senior titles, without a concentration of publications solely based on titles. The review process of the manuscripts is double-blind, and strict formatting and high quality requirements are imposed (with an initial rejection rate of 80%, but fast rejections are possible, see http://journal.cumt.edu.cn/info/1074/1725.htm). The review speed is also exceptionally fast (according to data from Elsevier's official website, https://journalinsights.elsevier.com/journals/2095-2686/review_speed). It is a rare and conscientious journal that prioritizes academic quality and professional efficiency.
