Summary: This study investigated the effectiveness of MIONP-based magneto-chemotherapy (MCT) in a 3D breast cancer model, using advanced 3D in vitro tumor models as a promising alternative to replicate the complete range of tumor characteristics. The results demonstrated that MCT using MIONPs reduced the viability of breast cancer cells, with the most promising therapeutic effects observed in the 3D cancer model.

Summary: Localized heat generation from manganese iron oxide nanoparticles conjugated with chemotherapeutics under the exposure of an alternating magnetic field can revolutionize targeted breast cancer therapy. Advanced 3D in vitro tumor models are explored as a promising alternative to replicate the complete range of tumor characteristics. The effectiveness of magneto-chemotherapy using chitosan-coated MIONPs is investigated in a 3D breast cancer model, with successful reduction in cancer cell viability.

Summary: This study summarizes the sources, pharmacological properties, and anticancer activities of Hesperetin (HSP) against various types of cancer. The results show that HSP can suppress tumor formation by targeting multiple cellular proteins and has the potential to overcome multidrug resistance. It also demonstrates better pharmacokinetic properties, making it a promising alternative drug for cancer treatment.

Summary: Quercetin has a wide range of potential health benefits as it can act as a supplement or treatment for various conditions. It possesses antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties, making it a potential cancer chemopreventive and chemotherapeutic agent that can kill cancer cells and possess senolytic properties. While clinical trials are needed for specific drug uses, it can be used as a general chemo-preventive supplement without contraindications.

Summary: Osteosarcoma is an aggressive bone cancer with unknown molecular pathways, making it difficult to improve patient survival. Conventional therapies have severe side effects due to the lack of selectivity for malignant tissue. Researchers are exploring targeted treatment methods by combining specific ligands and chemotherapeutic agents to treat tumor cells.

Summary: This study investigates the potential of combining agomelatine (AGO), a synthetic melatoninergic drug, with paclitaxel (PTX) for the treatment of breast cancer. The results show that AGO has cytotoxic effects on breast cancer cells similar to melatonin (MTN), and combining AGO and MTN with PTX shows synergistic effects. The study also reveals differences in molecular mechanisms and the importance of MTN receptors in breast cancer cell types.

Summary: Combining chemotherapy with immune checkpoint inhibitors has improved immunotherapy outcomes in cancer patients. However, the efficacy of chemotherapy monotherapy is limited by the immunosuppressive tumor microenvironment. To enhance the immunomodulatory effect of chemotherapy, researchers have proposed various strategies, including improving targeted distribution of chemotherapeutic agents and designing combination therapies.

Summary: Triple negative breast cancer (TNBC) is an aggressive cancer with a high rate of treatment failure and poor prognosis. Mitochondria play key roles in oncogenesis and tumor progression through mechanisms such as altered metabolism, ROS production, and evasion of apoptosis. Studies show that mitochondrial infusion can effectively reduce glycolysis, enhance oxidative phosphorylation, reduce proliferation, and promote apoptosis as anti-tumor therapies.

Summary: Chemotherapeutic agents can cause death or activation acceleration of follicles and damage to blood vessels in the ovary, resulting in inflammation. There is a need for the development of drugs to protect the ovaries from injury. Although there are many preclinical studies on potential protective drugs, more clinical experiments are urgently needed to verify their potential use.

Summary: The study showed that PFI-3 can bind to BRDs in GBM cells, enhance the antiproliferative and cell death-inducing effects of TMZ in sensitive GBM cells, overcome chemoresistance in highly resistant GBM cells, and alter gene expression in GBM. Additionally, PFI-3 enhanced the anticancer effect of TMZ in an intracranial GBM animal model, leading to increased survival in animals with GBM tumors.

Summary: This article explores the association between over-activation of autophagy and cell death in glioblastoma, as well as the inherent resistance of cancer stem cells to therapy. It suggests that autophagy promotes and maintains the stem-like state of cancer stem cells and contributes to their resistance to treatment.
