Summary: An efficient synthetic route for BINOL-based porous organic polymers (POPs) with hierarchical porosity was developed by generating the BINOL moiety in situ during polymerization. These BINOL-based POPs exhibited high BET surface area, good thermal stability, and selective adsorption of cationic and neutral dyes with excellent removal efficiency and ultrafast kinetics. They also had the highest reported adsorption capacity for various dyes and showed versatility in capturing textile dyes, nitroaromatic compounds, and bisphenol-A. Additionally, these POPs were fully recyclable without significant loss of adsorption efficiency.

Summary: The electrochemical reduction signal of graphene oxide nanocolloids is inhibited when they form non-covalent interactions with single stranded DNA oligonucleotides. The decrease in reduction current intensity is highly influenced by the nucleobase sequence and can be directly correlated to the specific DNA homo-oligonucleotide.

Summary: Graphitic carbon electrodes are crucial for electrochemical energy storage and conversion technologies. By combining surface-enhanced Raman scattering (SERS) with electrochemical methods using a hybrid substrate of graphene sheets and silver nanoparticles, the reversible redox response of adsorbed anthraquinone-2,6-disulfonate was observed. The SERS effect was confirmed, providing new opportunities for studying electrochemical processes on graphitic carbon electrodes.

Summary: Flexible crystalline co-valent organic frameworks (HHAZ and HAZDA) were synthesized through Schiff base polycondensation reactions. They exhibit permanent porosity, outstanding thermal and chemical stability. HHAZ and HAZDA show high fluorescence in polar solvents and have high sensitivity and selectivity for detecting explosives and iodine. In addition, they have reversible adsorption properties for volatile iodine.

Summary: This review systematically introduced the properties of elemental two-dimensional materials beyond graphene and their application in gas sensing. It was found that these materials are effective in detecting carbon-, nitrogen-, and sulfur-based gases, as well as organic vapors. However, the challenge lies in the instability of these materials under atmospheric conditions.

Summary: Photoresists play a crucial role in industrial fields like micro-electro mechanical systems, micromachining, and chip packaging. Traditional single-component photoresists require additional steps to render them conductive, making the process complex and limiting their applications. By doping graphene and silver nanowires into SU-8 photoresist, a conductive composite photoresist was successfully developed for micro-patterning and nonenzymatic sensing coatings.

Summary: The study found that nitrated monoaromatic hydrocarbons are ubiquitous in the environment and ecotoxic, with underresearched toxic potential for humans. These substances are present in high concentrations in atmospheric particulate matter, mainly in submicrometre size fractions. The bioaccessible fraction of these compounds is influenced by the simulated fluids used, but may be negligible for lipophilic substances.
