Summary: The development of an in situ bioprinting system for direct printing of cells/tissues on damaged anatomical locations could revolutionize surgical procedures. By using a modified printing system with specific bioinks and cell-laden structures, differentiation niches based on printing parameters can be created. Through the use of collagen bioink laden with hASCs and HUVECs, myogenic and angiogenic differentiation was successfully achieved under optimal printing conditions, demonstrating the feasibility and potential of in situ bioprinting.

Summary: The formation process of flower-like polyacrylonitrile particles has been investigated, and the mechanism behind it has been revealed. The petals within the particles consist predominantly of orthorhombic PAN crystals, and branching of the petals is a result of fast nucleation and growth of PAN on pre-existing crystals. The particles maintain a constant center-to-center distance due to strong electrostatic repulsion.

Summary: Small RNAs regulate gene expression at the transcriptional and post-transcriptional levels by forming RISC complex and repressing target genes through mRNA cleavage, degradation, and translational repression. Various factors fine-tune RISC activity and stability, including guide-target RNA complementarity, recruitment of protein partners, and post-translational modifications of RISC itself.

Summary: A one pot nanoengineering strategy inspired by the automatic transport behavior of water in plants was successfully developed to fabricate spheres-on-sphere (SOS) microspheres with hollow cavities and hierarchical structure. By removing the polystyrene (PS) phase in SOS particles, particles with multiscale hollow structure (SOS-MH) were obtained, reducing the thermal conductivity of composite fibrous membranes and improving moisture resistance.

Summary: Two-phase passive heat transport devices use porous evaporators for phase change and fluid transport. This study presents a new semi-empirical model for predicting thermal resistance and dryout during boiling in capillary-fed evaporators. The model considers thermal conduction, volumetric evaporation, and capillary-driven liquid flow to obtain temperature distribution and local pressures within the porous structure. The model successfully predicts trends in dryout limit with particle size, heater size, and evaporator thickness.

Summary: The article discusses why our conceptions of space and time are intertwined with memory in the hippocampal formation, pointing out that animals bridge spatial and temporal gaps through the creation of internal models. The hippocampal formation plays a critical role in this process by constructing cognitive maps, creating neural trajectories, and simulating possible futures.

Summary: This study investigates the influence of gravity on solute transport during evaporation of thin droplets. Two asymptotic regimes are identified based on the size of the Bond number. The results provide quantitative predictions of the size, location, and shape of the solute mass profile, taking into account the interplay between advection, diffusion, surface tension, and gravity.

Summary: The influence of axial static magnetic field on macro-segregation and structure in Al-Cu and NiMn-Ga alloys during directional solidification was investigated. It was found that ring-like structures formed under moderate magnetic fields at specific growth speeds. Numerical simulations revealed the formation of rotary thermoelectric magnetic convection in the mushy zone under an axial magnetic field, inducing the ring-like macro-segregation and structure. The experimental results agreed well with the numerical results, attributing the formation of ring-like structure and segregation to solute redistribution induced by thermoelectric magnetic convection.

Summary: Inhibition of GRK can inhibit GLP-1-mediated beta-arrestin recruitment, enhance GLP-1-induced insulin secretion, and have an additive effect with dipeptidyl peptidase 4 in mediating suppression of glucose excursion in mice. These findings highlight the importance of GRK in modulating GLP-1R function both in vitro and in vivo, suggesting GRK inhibition as a potential therapeutic approach to enhance GLP-1R signaling.

Summary: In this study, a finite element model and a multi-field and multi-scale coupling analysis method were used to investigate the formation process of the basin-like depression defect at the bottom of large-scale valves during electric upsetting process. The study found that changes in heating speed and pressurization speed affect the flow velocity difference, resulting in the formation of basin-like depressions. These defects can be optimized by coordinating the parameters between force and current.

Summary: This study investigated the feasibility of using an anatomically localized, target-enriched liquid biopsy (TLB) in mouse models of lung cancer. The results showed that irradiation could enhance the detection sensitivity of specific mutations in circulating tumor DNA (ctDNA) in the plasma samples of xenograft mice. Furthermore, the use of targeted deep sequencing of ctDNA in lung cancer patients undergoing radiotherapy revealed an increase in ctDNA levels after treatment.
