Summary: The study found that supplementation with 250 mg/kg BW/d of EBN showed a significant increase in sperm concentration, sperm motility, FSH, and LH levels compared to the group receiving 10 mg/kg BW/d. There was a dose-dependent increase in testosterone level, but it was not significant between groups. In conclusion, EBN was found to have significant effects on male reproductive parameters.

Summary: This study evaluated the potential reproductive toxicity of sulfoxaflor (SFX) insecticide in male Sprague Dawley rats. The results showed that SFX exposure led to abnormal sperm morphology, sperm DNA damage, and significant pathological changes in the testes, epididymis, and seminal vesicles of the rats.

Summary: The study revealed significantly elevated plasma concentrations of POMC in sepsis patients from acute to prolonged illness, along with ACTH-cortisol dissociation. Similar findings were confirmed in a mouse model, with alterations in hypothalamic CRH and AVP, as well as adrenocortical structure and steroidogenic activity.

Summary: Renal denervation (RDNx) is a promising treatment for cardiovascular disease. The study suggests that sympathetic renal nerves contribute to long-term MAP and renal function, while afferent renal nerves do not contribute to cardiovascular and renal function maintenance. Experimental results support this hypothesis, showing that total renal denervation led to a decrease in MAP and an increase in renal filtration, while targeted afferent denervation increased MAP without changing renal function. Based on these findings, it is concluded that renal sympathetic nerves play a role in regulating MAP and renal function, while afferent renal nerves have a tonic sympatho-inhibitory, negative feedback regulation in normotensive, healthy rats.

Summary: The study found that doses of DON up to 3 mg/kg/day did not affect maternal survival or body weight, but resulted in slight toxicity manifested as decreased body weight in the offspring. The no-observed effect level was 1 mg/kg/day.

Summary: In this study, endothelial dysfunction and altered expression of endothelial genes in type 2 diabetes were examined using ZDSD rats as a model. The results showed that ZDSD rats exhibited endothelial dysfunction and increased sensitivity to PAR2 agonist-induced vasodilation. Additionally, altered expression of multiple endothelial genes, including PAR2, suggested the involvement of inflammatory and angiogenesis signaling pathways in the endothelium of ZDSD rats.

Summary: This study provides a detailed characterization and functional analysis of lncRNAs expression levels in the liver and adrenal glands of heat-stressed rats, revealing their potential role in regulating genes related to heat stress response. The findings lay the foundation for further research on the biological functions of lncRNAs under heat stress in rats and other mammalian species.

Summary: This study investigated the acute and subacute oral toxicity of two pharmacologically active natural compounds, withametelin and daturaolone, in rats. Withametelin and daturaolone showed dose-dependent toxic effects at higher doses, but no toxicity at lower doses. Daturaolone was relatively safer compared to withametelin, but still caused changes in liver enzymes and testicular histology at higher doses.

Summary: Phosphine (PH3) is a highly toxic gas commonly used as a fumigant, causing multiorgan toxicity with no effective antidotes identified. Transcriptomic analysis revealed concentration- and time-dependent gene expression changes linked to cardiotoxicity pathways, aiding in understanding the precise mechanism of PH3 toxicity and development of medical countermeasures.

Summary: Relapse into addiction can be triggered by cues associated with drug use. Sign-tracking, the approach and interaction with Pavlovian conditioned signals, may contribute to cue-driven relapse. Bupropion, an antidepressant, was found to decrease sign-tracking and increase goal-tracking in rats, suggesting its potential as an adjunct medication for behavioral disorders involving cue-driven behavior.
