Summary: Construction and ornamental stones play a crucial role in the cultural and geoheritage. Quarries, where these stones are extracted, combine both types of heritage. Red Ereno, a red limestone with fossil shells, has been quarried since Roman times in the Basque Country, Spain, and is internationally exported. Cantera Gorria, the main quarry for Red Ereno, is now a cultural and geoheritage site with significant geological features and mining history. The link between geoheritage and cultural heritage in Cantera Gorria makes it a vital place for geological research, education, and tourism. The abandoned quarry urgently needs protection and development to raise awareness of its importance and potential use.

Summary: Recent subsurface studies have shown that mass-transport deposits (MTDs) in salt-controlled basins may be induced by regional tectonics or diapir growth, with some MTDs containing a high amount of clasts and reworked beds, posing challenges in oil and gas exploration. The minibasins adjacent to the Bakio salt diapir in northern Spain offer a unique opportunity to study up to seven outcropping MTDs, providing insights into their transport direction and source locations. Through detailed structural and facies analyses, a model of locally-derived MTDs has been proposed based on the nature of the source area and sedimentary facies reworked along the MTD downslope trajectories.

Summary: Many health technology assessment committees establish reference values for new health technologies or interventions based on the health opportunity costs of funding decisions. Empirical estimates of the marginal cost per unit of health produced by a healthcare system help inform future estimates for additional countries. It is important for subsequent research estimates to consider specific contexts, report assumptions clearly, and assess the sensitivity of preferred central estimates to these assumptions.

Summary: The physical performance of cancer patients is crucial, and bioimpedance is now being used to assess body composition. In this study, the relationship between the phase angle (PhA) obtained from bioelectrical impedance analysis (BIA) and physical performance measurements was investigated. The results showed that PhA was highly correlated with various physical performance indicators, such as 400m walking test, upper-body strength, lower-body strength, VO2peak, and ventilatory thresholds. Age was found to affect the relationship between PhA and physical performance, with older age showing a stronger relationship. This study highlights the importance of measuring PhA in assessing the physical performance of cancer patients during treatment.
