Summary: In this study, a general method to flip the transport electron spin by electrical gating in single molecule devices based on bipolar magnetic molecules is proposed. By changing the polarity of the applied voltage gate, a 100% spin polarized current with switchable spin direction can be achieved.

Summary: This article outlines the synthesis strategies of SnO2-based nanostructures with different morphologies and reviews the effects of doping on the magnetic properties. Density functional theory (DFT) investigations of pristine and doped SnO2 systems are also reviewed, and the correlations between certain experimental results are explored. Finally, the basis and control of ferromagnetism in SnO2-based nanostructures are discussed.

Summary: In this study, a reversible switching function was demonstrated in a bicomponent system, where the near-infrared photoluminescence of PbS nanocrystals was controlled by photoisomerization. The system showed high switching contrast and on/off ratio, and achieved fully reversible switching process.

Summary: Five mononuclear compounds were synthesized by combining cyclopentadiene, β-diketonate, tripyrazoylborate ligands, and dysprosium ion. Magnetic studies revealed that compounds 1Dy and 3Dy exhibited typical butterfly-type hysteresis, while compounds 1Dy-4Dy showed magnetic relaxation governed by the Orbach and Raman processes. Compound 3Dy showed a two-step magnetic relaxation attributed to the static disordering of the coordinated THF molecule. Magnetic anisotropy analysis indicated that the strength of interactions between Dy III and surrounding ligands determined the orientation of the magnetic easy axis.

Summary: The magnetic and electronic properties of zigzag-triangular WS2 and MoS2 quantum dots were studied using density functional theory calculations. The findings show that the pristine nanodots have permanent spin on their edges, which can be transformed to antiferromagnetic ordering or nonmagnetic by edge passivation. These magnetic states are stable and withstand room temperature. The structures also exhibit semiconductor properties and can be considered as potential candidates for spintronic applications due to their preferable magnetic and controlled electronic properties.

Summary: The effects of pressure (0-20 GPa) on the magnetic and structural properties of Fe3GeTe2 are investigated. It is found that ferromagnetic ordering is suppressed and a paramagnetic ground state emerges under pressure exceeding a critical value of P-PM ~ 15 GPa. An anomalous pressure dependence of structural parameters and vibrational modes is observed at P-C ~ 7 GPa, which is attributed to an isostructural phase transformation. Density functional theory calculations support these experimental findings. This study highlights the importance of pressure in driving magnetic quantum criticality in layered vdW magnetic systems.

Summary: Magnetic nanopatterns were successfully created in FeRh thin film deposited on MgO substrates using nanosphere-lithography technique. The technique allows for projecting the mask geometry on the magnetic structure of the film. Various techniques were used to determine the ferromagnetic ratio, magnetic pattern, and the three-dimensional structure of the created domains. This research provides opportunities for developing cutting-edge spintronic applications.

Summary: In this study, various ZnO nanoparticles with different co-dopants were successfully fabricated and their room-temperature structure and magnetic properties were investigated. The increase in co-dopant concentration was found to result in larger average grain size in the samples. Co and Ce co-doping induced ferromagnetism in the samples, likely due to the generation of oxygen vacancies and F-centers.

Summary: In this study, the effect of impurity doping on the magnetic susceptibility and magnetic moment development in chiral magnets is investigated using the spin-lattice model. Silicide-Fe- and Co-doped MnSi, a particular class of chiral magnets, is focused on. Two feasible models for different impurity arrangements in real compounds are introduced. Monte Carlo method is employed for classical spins calculation. The magnetic response and degradation of the magnetic phase transition upon doping are of interest. Calculated susceptibility is compared with available experimental data in these compounds. The behavior of the magnetic susceptibility is illustrated by corresponding spin patterns, showing the deterioration of the spiral structure with temperature and the formation of ring-shape patterns in Bragg intensity profiles.

This transition can be triggered by triaxial lattice contractions/expansions or external magnetic fields. Summary: This study proposes the application of permanent magnet technology to cryogenic hybrid magnets, aiming to reduce the requirement for superconducting magnets by generating additional magnetic fields using permanent magnets. The experimental results show that Praseodymium (Pr) based magnets have higher coercivity and remanent magnetic flux density compared to neodymium (Nd) based magnets, making them suitable as field boosters in high-field hybrid magnets.
