Summary: Microemulsions can be used as a carrier to enhance the solubility and skin permeability of total flavones of Arisaematis rhizoma for transdermal delivery. By adding 1% sodium hyaluronate, transparent microemulsion-based hydrogels with pseudoplastic-fluid and shear-thinning characteristics were obtained. Nanoscale droplets of microemulsions migrate in the gel network, with their migration capacity and transdermal permeation flux negatively correlated with sodium hyaluronate concentration.

Summary: This study aimed to investigate whether a booster BAI administered at the end of Airmen's training could reduce alcohol-related incidents (ARIs) up to a 1-year follow-up. The results showed no significant difference in ARIs at the 1-year follow-up between the condition that received the booster session and the condition that received bystander intervention. Future research should consider alternative outcome measures or more intensive interventions.

Summary: This study explored the feasibility, acceptability, and preliminary efficacy of a live text-message delivered alcohol brief motivational intervention (BMI). The results showed that participants found the interventions useful and interesting, with a high retention rate at the 3-month follow-up. Although there were no significant group differences in drinks per week or alcohol-related problems, participants who received alcohol BMI plus behavioral economic substance-free activity session (SFAS) reported fewer heavy drinking episodes (HDEs) in the past month.

Summary: This research emphasizes the importance of understanding addictive behaviors as dynamic patterns influenced by environmental contexts. Current research tends to focus on identifying the causes of addictive behavior, but lacks investigation into how addictive behavior patterns emerge, are maintained, and remit over time. Broadening the scope of research to include individual and contextual factors holds promise for advancing our understanding of addictive behaviors.

Summary: This study examines the impact of different next-day responsibilities on alcohol demand among community adults, finding that individuals report they would drink less alcohol on nights before important next-day responsibilities such as taking care of children or going to work. By using behavioral economics to investigate community adults, the results suggest that planning personally relevant next-day activities may help reduce alcohol consumption and potential adverse consequences.

The innovations of molar behaviorism, behavioral economics, and teleological behaviorism are summarized. The focus on final causes in behavioral economics and teleological behaviorism is particularly beneficial for applied fields. The translational and applied research in laboratory studies, cohort studies, and experimental behavioral economic modeling have successfully translated basic science into practical applications, and have the potential for further advancements.

Summary: The study found that social context and level of responsibility have an impact on cannabis demand. The presence of peers increases demand intensity and maximum expenditure, while higher responsibilities decrease demand intensity, breakpoint, and maximum expenditure and increase price sensitivity. Demand is least elastic in social context compared to other conditions. The severity of cannabis use is associated with differences in demand intensity and maximum expenditure between solitary and social conditions, and in demand elasticity between typical and substantial responsibility conditions.
