Summary: The study found that residents in the Tampa Bay area frequently use and find weather radar displays to be a very useful tool for decision-making. Higher accuracy in precipitation location on radar displays led to a higher perception of usefulness among respondents. Most respondents use smartphone devices to view radar displays, with engaging in outdoor activities being a significant motivator for radar use.

Summary: The study found that patients' motivations for pursuing cancer genomic testing include predicting cancer risk, informing disease management, benefiting families, and understanding cancer, while barriers include concerns about cost, privacy/confidentiality, clinical utility, and psychological harm. Despite concerns, consumers are interested in cancer genomic testing if it can provide actionable results for themselves and their families.

Summary: This paper evaluates the factors hindering the adoption of organic agriculture in sub-Saharan Africa. The study finds that despite positive attitudes, the adoption rate is low due to a lack of abilities and opportunities. The paper suggests the need to create favorable conditions at the food system level to promote organic farming.

Summary: Understanding the motivations and barriers to participation in genomics research is crucial for developing guidelines to optimize their effectiveness. The level of importance placed on personal risk, familial risk, and risk reduction varies among individuals based on gender and age. Distrust in the handling of genomic data is a barrier to participation in genomics research.

Summary: Academic research has acknowledged the importance of community participation in decision-making for cultural heritage tourism, but there is still a lack of understanding regarding the perspectives and motivations of people to participate in collaborative governance. This study aims to fill this knowledge gap by examining residents' attitudes and motivations towards participating in collaborative decision-making for cultural heritage tourism in their area. Using a qualitative approach, the study analyzes two heritage precincts in New Delhi, India, and the findings can also be applied to communities in other developing nations.

Summary: Joint decision-making is an effective mechanism for addressing the complexity of B2B processes in supply chains. This paper investigates how companies in a dyadic relationship make joint and individual decisions by examining the drivers, facilitators, and barriers. A case study of Dutch high-tech companies provides empirical insight into the dynamics of collaborative decision-making and offers suggestions for decision-makers and future research.

Summary: This research examines the motivations and barriers of municipal renewable energy development in Alberta, Canada, and provides insights into potential solutions. The study finds that the perception of economic value is the main driver for municipal governments to invest in renewable energy projects, while limited access to grants, inadequate support from the provincial government, and concerns about aesthetics and environmental impacts act as significant constraints.

Summary: This research examines firms' motivations for offshoring and finds that sustainable initiatives reduce the motivation for offshoring in most cases. Corporate Social Responsibility performance discourages offshoring related to labor cost benefits, energy savings, and host governments' sustainable programs. Domestic governments' sustainable initiatives can support firms that forfeit potential benefits, while suppliers' sustainable initiatives push firms towards offshoring.

Summary: Positive attitudes, good therapy experiences, and a strong adolescent-therapist relationship are major facilitators of therapy engagement for adolescents with mental disorders. Conversely, early symptom remission, negative therapist experiences, and stigma related to mental health can act as barriers to therapy engagement. Family support, setting goals, and enhancing independence are also important factors in therapy engagement for adolescents.

Summary: The potential of organic agriculture and agroecological approaches in improving food security in Africa remains controversial in global discussions. Studies conducted in Ghana and Kenya show varying levels of adoption of organic agriculture principles and a preference for passive rather than active organic management among farmers. While yields and gross margins under organic management in four of the case studies remain similar to conventional values, one case study showed significant increases in yields and profits. Overall, organically managed farms showed significantly higher farm-level gross margins compared to conventional farms, indicating the potential benefits of organic and agroecological approaches when implemented effectively.

Summary: This study aims to define the concept of Smart Mixes, create a generalizable analytical tool for identifying their presence in international supply chains, and demonstrate their feasibility using the example of organic imports into Switzerland. It shows that Smart Mixes can be effective in influencing supply chain actors outside of government jurisdiction, particularly when public and private sector interests are aligned.
