Summary: This study investigates the efficiency and vascularization patterns of different mouse melanoma cell lines in liver metastasis. The highly and moderately metastatic melanomas are associated with gene clusters involved in cell migration and angiogenesis. Sorafenib shows a strong inhibitory effect on vascularization in liver metastasis of melanoma.

Summary: Anti-angiogenic therapy aims to fight cancer by disrupting the nutrient and oxygen supply to tumor cells, mainly by targeting vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF). While some drugs in this category can enhance immune therapy, they often fall short in terms of efficacy. Researchers believe that targeting alternative angiogenic pathways in combination could be a promising solution.

Summary: Curcumin, a natural active ingredient from traditional Chinese medicine (TCM), has multi-target characteristics and extensive pharmacological activities. It has been applied in the treatment of various diseases such as cancer, cardiovascular diseases, nervous system, and autoimmune disorders. Curcumin can modulate lysosomal function through different pathways, affecting tumor proliferation, invasion, metastasis, drug resistance, and immune function. This review provides a reference for the clinical application of curcumin and anti-tumor research targeting lysosomes.

Summary: The low efficiency of cancer treatment strategies is a major obstacle in developing cancer inhibitors. Peptidomimetics, a new class of agents, have been introduced to overcome the limitations of peptides and have shown effectiveness in inhibiting metastasis, angiogenesis, and cancerous cell growth.

Summary: miR-518d-5p modulates sorafenib resistance in HCC through inhibition of c-Jun/PUMA-induced apoptosis, and circulating miR-518d-5p emerges as a potential biomarker for lack of response to sorafenib.

Summary: Osteosarcoma metastatic cells gain in angiogenic-related pathways may relate more to a prosurvival switch than to an advantage feature for lung colonization. Despite higher adhesion and gain in angiogenesis pathways, metastatic cells do not display major angiogenic potential. Antiangiogenic treatments may affect cell survival rather than angiogenesis in OS cells with different metastatic potential.

Summary: Angiogenesis plays a vital role in the growth and spread of solid cancers, but breast cancer has shown poor response to anti-angiogenic drugs. Assessing the angiogenic signaling mechanisms in breast cancer, exploring new drug targets, and improving treatment outcomes through vascular normalization and nanotechnology are important areas of research.

Summary: The study showed that Avastin, a protease inhibitor, suppresses tumor growth and metastasis, as well as inhibits tumor dissemination by regulating angiogenesis and normalizing tumor vasculature. Additionally, Avastin was found to have inhibitory effects on the VEGFR2/PI3K/AKT pathway in endothelial cells of tumor vasculature, and on the I kappa B alpha/NF Kappa B(p65)/MMP-9 pathway in cancer cells, thereby suppressing their migration ability. Moreover, Avastin was found to enhance the integrity of tumor vasculature, improving the drug delivery efficacy of cisplatin and synergistically increasing its anti-tumor activity.

Summary: Multiple myeloma cells acquire drug resistance through reprogramming their metabolic assessment via mitochondrial pathways. Some compounds, such as 2-methoxyestradiol and Artesunate, overcome resistance by increasing oxidative stress, while others restore efficacy through caspase-dependent tools. Each substance improves efficacy rates when used in combination with commonly used antimyeloma drugs.

Summary: Lung cancer, a high incidence and mortality malignant tumor in China, is a major cause of death and a significant public health problem. Anti-angiogenesis has become a crucial approach to inhibit tumor development by rebalancing pro- and anti-angiogenic factors. This article reviews the mechanism of blood vessel formation in tumor tissues, the action mechanism of different anti-angiogenic drugs, the combination therapy of anti-angiogenic drugs with other anti-tumor drugs, and the mechanism of anti-angiogenic drug resistance.

Summary: In this study, three heterometallic Ru(II)-Re(I) complexes were designed and synthesized. Cytotoxicity tests showed that these complexes exhibited high phototoxicities against multiple cancer cell lines, with RuRe2 showing the most significant increase in cytotoxicity against human prostate cancer cells under light irradiation. Mechanistic studies revealed that RuRe2-mediated photodynamic therapy induced tumor cell apoptosis and inhibited PC3 cell scratch healing, as well as the expression levels of MMP-2, MMP-9, and VEGFR2. Additionally, RuRe2 exhibited anti-angiogenic activities.
